I got a diagnosis of a renal cell carcinoma back in September 2023. The diagnosis was incidental to an ER visit for kidney stones. It was late on a Saturday night. The wife and I were filled with anxiety over the situation. It was totally unexpected. I asked the ER doctor to provide me a file of all information including scans performed at the ER. There was only one person I trusted to provide counsel and direction for my next steps, my PCP, Dr. Steve Rosenbaum. Dr. Rosenbaum has been my physician for 22 years. I arranged an appointment for the next week. I brought him all of the ER records. Dr. Rosenbaum reviewed all of the information and immediately grabbed his phone. He told me that I needed a urologist. I asked if he had a recommendation. He certainly did! Dr. Rosenbaum said, "you're going to my urologist. I'm texting him right now!"

Long story short, Dr. Rosenbaum was spot-on in his urology referral. After a successful nephrectomy, I am cancer free. Dr. Rosenbaum continues to collaborate with my urologist and oncologist on my total health. We have a plan moving forward to keep me cancer free for the next five years!

This is just one of many situations over the years where Dr. Rosenbaum has helped me in difficult situations.
