I had decided to retain an MDViP doctor after being engaged to a doctor who was also part of the “ family of physicians “ After living with and being around the profession, and seeing the endless , tireless commitment, on a day by day , sometimes , hour by hour life journey . With middle of the night phone calls , half dinners , and shortened vacations. That was more than enough to to know I needed to obtain a relationship with another MDVIp doctor, to continue my path as a healthy man , as my life progressed. That is when I found Dr Anthony Luciano.. Dr Luciano and his compassionate staff , are warm , attentive and always concerned of my needs. He personally calls me for reminders of my upcoming basic medical needs … But recently .. he , not as a doctor ,, but as a person , went be you doing his call of duty . His office was “ red flagged “ as to the situation that I as a 67 year old male , had not had a colonoscopy in 7 years , and the procedure done at the time was inconclusive. Dr Luciano , immediately got on the phone personally, and DEMANDED in schedule a procedure asap . I , as a patient, want a demanding doctor … it is a sign of great leadership and confidence. I do not want someone in charge, as a partner in my heath , who is passive and submissive. Seeing and hearing the urgency In his heart ( not his voice ) , I scheduled an appointment the very next day . My procedure was then booked for about four weeks out . I was fine with that …. UNTIL … my insurance company notified me that they were canceling my coverage because the particular plan I was on , was being discontinued. I would have been responsible for a large sum of money. The following day I put in a call to Dr Luciano , he called me back within hours ( try that one on for size in the regular medical world ) I explained to him the situation and he LISTENED and replied, what every patient needs to hear “ I CAN HELP , DONT WORRY “ If there should ever be a mantra , this is timeless. With that , he went to work … He called me back by the end of the day … I had my colonoscopy scheduled an completed by the end of that week ( 3 days ) Thank you Dr Luciano for your professionalism , friendship ( all doctors should feel like friends) and your relentlessness to a cause that clearly lives in you . God Bless you.
