Dr Thompson was very instrumental in giving me back my life. He listened to my symptoms and how miserable I was in all ways. I could not eat and I was losing weight. My recovery started with an abdominal CT which showed a compression of the celiac artery. He then referred me to the best surgeons at MUSC. MALS was confirmed through an ultrasound and I was scheduled for surgery which was successful. Only days after surgery and the release of the constriction on the celiac artery all of my symptoms were relieved. I am very thankful that Dr Thompson was able to put this process into motion with the right doctors and I was able to get relief and return to a normal life. I suffered for 5 years with mals because this is very difficult to diagnose but Dr Thompson was on the right track with his thinking and from there I found my solution to living normal again. I am very grateful to Dr Thompson for his care and insight.
