My first encounter

Dr. Huerter was initially my late husband Steve’s physician. I recall the first time that Steve experienced angina. I was not sure what to do and I called Dr. Huerter. Although it was late in the evening Dr. Huerter came by the house to examine him and stayed talking to us for over 30 min. That was so reassuring to me that I could get in touch with him virtually any time of the day. When Steve made his final trip to LMH Dr. Huerter visited him every morning even through the Thanksgiving weekend. Our family really appreciated his presence. When my primary care physician retired I decided that I wanted Dr. Huerter to fill that role. At the time he was not taking any new patients. I reached out to him and asked if he could make an exception. I am fortunate that he did.
