Two and a half years ago, my 42 year old daughter-in-law was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She and my son spent much of this time at MDAnderson in Houston. Every time I saw Dr Alexander, her first question would be “How is she doing? How’s your son?” She always wanted to know about a new trial or new procedure she was receiving. Unfortunately, my daughter-in-law passed away this past September. I received the most beautiful, hand written note (via the USPS!) from Dr. Alexander. Writing notes is almost a lost art these days. I was so touched that she would take time out of her busy schedule to do this. Her sympathy and support brought me to tears. I will never forget Dr. Alexander’s kindness.
