Many years ago, Dr. Menteer became my wife's PCP. I don't think I even had one. She loved her, and when Dr. Menteer joined MDVIP, my wife didn't hesitate to pay the membership fee. I thought she was crazy!

After a few years my wife talked me into trying MDVIP out, and I reluctantly joined with Dr. Menteer as my PCP, as well. I quickly came to know why my wife loved Dr. Menteer so much. She gets to know and cares about her patients on a personal level, more than any doctor I'd ever experienced. I've been with her for several years now and never regretted it for a second!

I travel a lot on business and Dr. Menteer has been there for me whenever I need her and wherever I am. One story that really sticks in my mind though, was when I was coming home from my office after working late into the evening one night. I was in the fast lane on the freeway when suddenly my entire field of vision spun like a pinwheel and I completely lost my equilibrium! I was sure I would lose control of my car, but it sub-sided and I was able to make it home.

Feeling dizzy and fearing that I had just suffered a stroke or something, I texted Dr. Menteer hinting that I might be in trouble. She called me immediately and with a few questions and check of my vitals she ruled out a stroke and suggested it could be caused by low blood sugar. I then realized that I had been running all day, never stopped to eat, and probably hadn't eaten anything in over 24 hours! Sure enough, I ate something and was fine. I was a little embarrassed, incredibly relieved, and grateful that I didn't go spend all night in the ER taking a battery of unnecessary tests.

Conversely, Dr. Menteer has helped me through some serious medical issues over the years, but for some reason this story has always reminded me of what piece of mind this invaluable doctor patient relationship has brought me. Dr. Menteer has been like one of the family for my wife and I and we always feel blessed to be under her care!
