I recently visited the ER and was subsequently hospitalized for severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. Upon entering the Emergency Room, the staff quickly took measures to alleviate the pain and nausea and carry out the necessary tests and labs to diagnose the problem. My husband and I arrived at the ER at approximately 3 AM. I text Dr. Danny at 7 AM after learning that I had a small bowel blockage, was being admitted and would possibly require surgery. Dr. Danny immediately text me back and was at my bedside by approximately 8 AM. Never had I been so reassured than when I saw him. He had already seen my labs and CAT scan results. He calmly and confidently reassured my anxious husband and me, answering our questions, and agreeing with the measures being taken to alleviate the symptoms and treat the problem. To have my own doctor and not a stranger involved in this care helped dramatically reduce our anxiety.
Because hospitals now use hospitalists, Dr. Danny would not be in charge of my care during my stay. Nevertheless, he was there every morning, having reviewed my chart and continuing to reassure and answer our questions. He encouraged me to text him at any time for any reason.
Dr. Danny went over and beyond. His daily visits, along with his knowledge of my history and overall physical condition, my current labs, Xrays, etc., his sincere concern, and his easy access show the excellent service provided by this practice. I feel certain I would not have received this much attention and hands on care with a typical Primary Care Practice. (Thankfully I was discharged 5 days later and did not require surgery.
The value of the MDVIP practice was certainly accentuated to us with this experience. We are very grateful to Dr. Danny for his constant concern and expert knowledge.
