So grateful to Dr. Schmidlein

Last spring I suddenly lost the hearing in my right ear. Of course it happened on a weekend and I went to Urgent Care and then called Dr. Schmidlein with the results. When he heard what I had been prescribed, he ordered an additional prescription and tried to set up an appointment with an ENT doctor right away. When I got in to see the ENT doctor, he commended the quick thinking on Dr. Schmidlein's part to save my hearing. I had to have three steroid shots in my ear to get the hearing back, but the ENT doctor told me that many people don't realize that sudden hearing loss becomes permanent in many cases after six weeks. I appreciate Dr. Schmidlein's quick reaction to my need which saved my hearing.
