Over the past years with Dr. Barber (Skip) as my primary care physician I have made the transition from aerospace executive and family man to 87 year old retiree with an accelerating loss of family and friends. Through the ups and downs Skip was always there when I needed him, and I am grateful for both what he did and what he didn't do. He listened, examined, and offered wise diagnosis, counsel, and treatment, but he didn't rush me out of the office, overmedicate, or ship me off to specialists for every little symptom, whether real or imagined. I had to laugh when at the conclusion of my last physical exam he said that his goal was that when he reached my age to be able to get an exam as positive as mine. Well, as he phases into retirement I offer him my heartfelt thanks and wish him the best in this opportunity to find out.
Way to go Skip.
