When my MDVIP affiliated physician retired 3 years ago I needed to make a decision about what to do. I had been seeing her for more than 30 years. I was told that Dr. Santos would be taking over, that she came highly recommended and that perhaps I should give her a try. I did decide to go with Dr. Santos and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I had no way of knowing at the time that the next 3 years would prove to be the most callenging years of my life. I had 2 surgeries within 8 months of each other, lost both my parents, had a bit of a battle with Covid and as a teacher teaching remotely for almost 2 years I gained a LOT of weight. Dr. Santos has been with me every step of the way and cared for me as if I was a member of her own family. She is extremely knowledgable, caring , compassionate, thorough and well connected. Whenever I've needed to see a specialist she's always sent me to the best. In turn, these specialists clearly have the utmost respect for her. Through her guidance and gentle support I've managed to get through these past 3 years. I still have work to do, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Dr. Santos has fostered a strength and resiliency in me that I didn't even realize I had. Dr. Santos is truly one of a kind. Not only is she an exceptional physician but she's an exceptional human being. I don't really know how to say thank you to her for making such a difference in my life, but I suppose I could start by saying thank you so much Dr. Santos. You truly are the best of the best.
