My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My approach to patient care is straightforward; I try to treat patients as I would want members of my family treated by their physicians. For me, medicine is not simply a profession. Since I was five years old I knew I wanted to be a physician, so in many ways it is more of a calling. I have had the immense privilege of being a primary care physician for over two decades. Through these years of practicing medicine, I realize that taking care of patients is much more than just identifying and treating disease. It is essential to know who my patients are, and by understanding what is important to them, I can help them lead happy and healthy lives. Again, this is what I want for my family and it is what I strive to provide for each and every patient.
Through my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I provide a personalized approach to health care. When major health issues arise, I also have the resources of being a Johns Hopkins-affiliated physician to help guide patients through the challenges of managing their illness. While I am fortunate to have the resources of a large institution like Johns Hopkins to help in the management of my patients, the focus of my practice is to make my patients feel comfortable knowing that my priority is forging a relationship with them that values trust and teamwork so we can determine their path towards a healthy life.
