I. Worked in a management posistion at a hospital with a large laboratory. My responsibilities included traveling to Doctor offices throughout the state educating offices on new test available, proper diagnosis that would be proper with the new test and any other laboratory information the physicians may require. A large part of my responsability was working with physicians on connecting their emr to ours to order and receive results electronically. With these responsibilities, I met with Doctors from several family practices on a regular basis. Just as with any posistion, I learned the commitment to excellence a doctor had or lacked. Dr. Harvey was off the chain in his commitment to excellence. When hooking up his emr to work with the hospital, Dr. Harvey studied and in some cases knew more than the programers about what would be best for family practice offices. When I saw this intelligents and commitment to perfection, I changed my physician to Dr. Harvey. After a few years of very satisfied service, he notified me he was going to MDVIP. I was worried about how well this would work but I knew I was following him. What a great decision that was! Just one example of exceptional service was when my wife was hospitalized with COVID-19. After an 8 day stay, she was discharged and told to see her physician within 2 days. Her office claimed they could not get her in for 10 days. I called Dr. Harvey and explained this to him. He saw my wife that day. She has rheumatoid arthritis and has a very compromised immune system. Dr. Harvey was very thorough. She was not a patient of his and he treated her like a family member. When we were leaving his office he made clear she could call if she felt she needed. He also made sure her physician received his patient notes right away. Other times I have found myself calling him or texting him after hours. I have always felt like I've got the best of him even at 10 pm or on a Sunday. Other than the absolute best treatment possible, he and his wife who works as office manager make me feel like family. I love the Harvey's professionalism and family love they give.

Dr. Harvey cares for his patients, taking the time to explain diagnoses and treatment plans in detail. The moment that really stands out to me, though, is when he offered to open his office on a weekend to see me. Most doctors would tell a patient on a weekend to go to the ER or a ready care facility, or to make an appointment for the following week. This is particularly true when, as in my case, the situation was not particularly dire and immediate care was not entirely necessary. Dr. Harvey is not "most doctors".
