My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

The focus of my family medicine practice is you and your future health. I want to provide you with personalized healthcare in a comfortable setting. As your primary care physician, I will walk alongside you and take a proactive approach to enhancing your health. As an MDVIP-affiliated physician, I will have more time to develop close relationships with my patients and comprehensively care for their health. We will journey together as we serve your specific and individual healthcare needs. I also offer conveniences, like same- or next-day appointments that start on time, which may be found in concierge medicine practices.

My partner, Dr. Brent Jacobus, and I understand and recognize the need for proactive, preventive care in thwarting disease and illness. Our passion continues to be patient care and providing the highest level of clinical knowledge in a compassionate and friendly environment.

I am originally from northwest Indiana and have practiced medicine locally for 17 years. Needless to say, I love our community and enjoy serving its people! My personal interests include spending time with my wife and three boys, enjoying the Lake Michigan beach, community volunteer involvement, mission trips, triathlons and of course... basketball.

Board-certified as a family doctor, I enjoy caring for all ages and health issues at every stage of life. My hospital affiliations include St. Mary Medical Center and Pinnacle Hospital.

We had just moved back into the area after being gone for 20 years and didn't have a physician. When my husband started having kidney stone pain, we went to Pinnacle Hospital Urgent Care. Dr. Brechner took care of my husband and had him admitted into the hospital and arranged for all specialists that were necessary for hist treatment (he has a pacemaker in addition to the kidney stone… See more

We had just moved here from out of state. We were looking for a doctor that would take new patients, and hopefully not be one of the doctor mill types that waits for a key word, and then farms you out to someone else.
We had already visited another doctor at family suggestion, but I had been totally unimpressed.
I was having severe pains one night, and it just reached a point that… See more
