I have never had a lot of faith in how much a doctor can help with non-routine health problems. Why should I go to the doctor for this? What can he do? Dr. Sewchand proved me wrong twice, and I am very grateful to him. The first time was five years ago. At age 60, I was experiencing unexplained body aches that steadily got worse and worse, to the point where I could barely walk. I tried physical therapy, and I tried massage. In desperation, I finally went to the doctor. He took a blood test and diagnosed me with polymyalgic rheumatica. Maybe that is a routine diagnosis for a doctor to make, but I was so mystified and then so grateful that there was an explanation. The second time was a year ago. I was tired all the time, and nothing I tried would alleviate it. A friend finally recommended I go to my PCP. She said that I was only in my 60's, too young to be tired all the time. So I saw Dr. Sewchand again, hoping he would find a thyroid problem or something. All blood tests came back normal, but he suggested we look into sleep apnea. I was sure, my family was sure that wasn't the problem. Again, I was shocked to find out I was borderline for severe sleep apnea. I am still having problems with fatigue, perhaps due to the polymyalgic rheumatica, but I love my CPAP machine and the deep sleep I get, and I am grateful to have this unsuspected aspect of the problem diagnosed and dealt with. Thank you Dr. Sewchand!

As we were wrapping Dr. Sewchand decided that he would refer me to a Urologist to make sure that there were no issues with my prostrate. He wrote a referral and I followed up.
