My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

As a family medicine physician in the Western Medical World for several years, I feel I have a good sense of Western medicine’s strengths and weaknesses. I am convinced that a strong and trusting patient/physician relationship is the best tool we have to promote your overall good health and wellness. I believe that a tailored approach to each patient as an individual is the most effective way to practice good medicine.

My personal approach to life has always been to provide a good example to those entrusting me with their care. I have been a long-distance runner and veteran of many marathons, half marathons and shorter races over the last 20 to 30 years. The MDVIP practice model fits extremely well with my philosophy. Being able to spend even more time with my patients to plan and formulate a coordinated approach to their health is exactly where I want to be at this time in my career.

My primary care practice is located in Brighton, Michigan, but also serves South Lyon, Milford, Highland, Howell, Whitmore Lake, Fenton, Linden and Fowlerville.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Morell

from Larry in MI April 4, 2024 for Ross J. Morell, DO

Spend $1,000 on your car maintenance and we don't give it a second thought. Spending (investing) $1,000 on ourselves, without insurance, unthinkable. This is mindset and must be changed to appreciate the full benefits of the medical system.
MDVIP is a Pro-active vs reactive (what stage are you in) form of medical care. Your doctor should be a coach in life vs last resort in life… See more

from Brinda in MI March 14, 2024 for Ross J. Morell, DO

Dr. Morell has been Brinda’s primary care doctor for over 35 years through numerous times of difficulty and illnesses. He has always been there when needed. He even went to the funeral of our son’s untimely death. He was there to insure that if she needed anything he could help. For this and his 35 years of outstanding service we are extremely grateful.

I was a patient before Dr. Morell entered MDVIP. I thought long and hard about the cost to continue to be associated with Dr. Morell. Years later I am sure I made the right decision to stay with him when he went into MDVIP and I joined. He is an excellent, compassionate, very personable and attentive Doctor. I am very picky and I can assure you Dr Morell and everyone in his office is… See more

First of all, MDVIP is very fortunate to have Dr. Ross Morell, as a one of their member physicians. He is an outstanding MD, & definitely more than qualifies as an MDVIP doctor. I could write a book including countless times he's save my life. One story I like to share regarding Dr. Morell, is how available he is 24/7. Like the time he was on his mountain bike, in a very remote area,… See more

Since Dr. Morrell has been part of the MDVIP program, he is available 24/7. I can communicate with him in several different ways. If it's just a question or a report, I can go right to the portal at MDVIP & shoot him an email. He always responds promptly. Other ways I've been in touch with him are via phone messages. He called me back while he was at a conference out of town. He… See more

When I moved to Brighton in 1996 I was in need of a primary care physician. I was referred to Dr. Morell and he has been my PCP since then. I trust him and he has always been the person on whom I can rely to ensure my health stays in the green zone. His focus is not only on making sure he is responsive to my health concerns but also goes above and beyond to offer advice on ways to maintain… See more

from John in MI March 10, 2020 for Ross J. Morell, DO

My wife and I regard Dr. Morell as much as a friend as well as being our family doctor for many years.
I recently suspected that I had shingles and read that there was an opportunity to reduce the risk of the severity if medication was started within the initial 72 hour period. It was a Sunday afternoon and I had the first symptoms 48 hours earlier.
I called the doctor, who saw me… See more
