I love it that Dr. Dean Smith is always available for me, all I have to do is txt or call him. He has kept me from going to urgent care by calling in prescriptions that cure my illness. He is very caring and responds to my needs quickly.

Dr. Smith and his staff have been so wonderful to me since relocating to this area. I have had a lot of health issues to deal with in my life and one of the down sides of moving was having to reestablish health care with trusted professionals. Dr.Smith and his staff are so kind, knowledgable and responsive to my questions and concerns. I have been able to discuss privet issues with my doctor that I have not been able to with other physicians. I hope Dr. Smith does not retire any time soon but if he does I'm sure he will make sure there is a physician with his ethics and knowledge that will take his place. It is well worth the 1 hour drive that I have to see Dr. Smith!

Dr. Purim was my doctor when I was taken to Grand Strand Hospital Easter morning by rescue. I thought I was having a heart attack. I so appreciate her bedside manner and work she did to find out what was going on Amy body!

I had never experienced an MDVIP physician prior to moving to Myrtle Beach. At age 69 I realized how awesome it was to be a member.
I was experiencing fainting spells that were becoming more frequent. I mentioned this to Dr. Dean Smith and he ordered a 3 week monitor for me. The monitor was able to capture a total heart block episode.
My Dr told me to go to the hospital and by the end of the day I had a pacemaker and no worries of fainting again. I feel great now and I give all the credit to Dr. Dean Smith for acting so quickly to my symptoms. He called the hospital ahead of time for me so I didn't need to wait. I really did feel like a VIP!

Dr. Smith operates with the upmost intelligence, professionalism and bed side manor. He is by far the best physician my family has experienced in the entire Grand Strand area. He has diagnosed and resolved both minor and major medical issues for our family, one in particular making the difference between life or death. For over a decade and counting we have been both pleased and proud to call him our family physician!

My husband and I have been patients of Dr Smith for quite a few years; we think he is the best doctor in Myrtle Beach. He is professional and knowledgeable but his caring and kindness is what makes him so special. We have had a couple of trips to the ER and stays in the hospital and he was always right there; it made a huge difference to have our own doctor, who had our medical history, to be directing our care. Dr. Smith has been wonderful. When I was in the emergency room I never expected to see him there but there he was. Talking to my husband in the ER and on the phone with my daughter who lives in another state. It really gave me a sense of peace too know he was there to help guide my family through my condition. I have to say having a doctor you trust is so important!!
Dr. Smith has also been available to me whenever I needed him due to various other conditions and it has given me the peace of mind knowing he's there even during my midnight calls or even my Sunday night calls. This has kept me out of the emergency room and hospital since we have been able to keep my health under control. He is the best!!!

The comprehensive MD VIP annual exam which is part of the annual membership fee is a huge plus. I also like that my doctor occasionally has special tests available for a relatively small cost .Dr. Smith is an amazing, caring physician. Being affiliated with the MDVIP program allows him to spend literally as much time as needed with you. No rushing, no hurrying off to the next patient. He asks questions and truly listens to your responses. His explanations are thorough yet easy to understand. Having access to his personal cell phone is also a great perk, especially evenings and weekends (not that I use it often). You always reach him directly, or get a quick call back. Where are so many other medical practitioners can’t give you an appointment for weeks in advance I can always get in to see Dr. Smith within 24 hours

I have been his patient for 20 years and my late husband as well which he showed nothing but a genuine interest during his illness and to me in regard to dealing with loss of my husband.

Dr. Smith is very professional yet approachable. He clearly cares about me and my health. His partner, Dr. Belden, is equally impressive. The staff is personable, professional, and helpful. Fortunately, my health has not required late night calls or hospitalization, but I am confident, if necessary, I would be very glad Dr. Smith was my physician.
