About Amanda V. Jimenez-Lawson, MD
I believe that investing in your health is investing in yourself. My goal as a primary care physician, in Flower Mound, TX, is to provide proactive and personalized care that can help patients focus on earlier detection and timely intervention when possible. I aim to help each patient stay current with preventive screenings and health maintenance, which could allow the opportunity for disease processes to be identified and addressed sooner.
I am a native Texan who was born in San Antonio and raised in Midland. During high school I lived in Caracas, Venezuela, where I first learned to speak Spanish fluently. I earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor is Spanish at UT San Antonio. I attended medical school at La Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. Following the completion of medical school, I performed my pre-internship at New York Medical College. I then went on to complete residency at Louisiana State University.
I am board certified in internal medicine. My goal is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care focused on preventive medicine and support my patients as they work to manage chronic medical conditions.
I am bilingual and speak conversational and medical Spanish.
In my free time, I enjoy surrounding myself with family and friends, baking, traveling, and attending St. Marks in Denton. To God be the glory!
