About David M. Filsoof, MD
I have been in practice since 2015 in Los Angeles, California, as a primary care physician and general cardiologist. I joined MDVIP in 2017 once I realized there were gaps in healthcare and, in my opinion, patients were not provided quality care.
My foremost goal as your doctor is to deliver individualized care in an environment that nurtures a long-term trusting relationship. I aim to provide personalized care that takes into account each patient’s own unique needs and goals. Our practice focuses on the patient as a whole. I seek to help my patients as they work to become healthier, which I believe includes physical, mental and emotional well-being.
I believe in prevention, wellness and longevity, and thus we aim to help identify or review a problem before it becomes a larger issue, if possible. As a general internal medicine physician with specialization in adult and pediatric cardiology, I focus on helping patients pursue prevention of cardiovascular and other disease while partnering with them on cardiovascular health and general wellness.
I am a big proponent of proper nutrition, sleep and exercise as our first line of defense and
well-being. I aim to only use medication if and when necessary.
I am an attending physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Southern California Hospital at Culver City, and California Rehabilitation Institute. I make rounds on all my inpatients on a daily basis and hold clinic every day. It is my intention that no patient feels ignored or neglected. My office and staff are on standby to help serve you for your healthcare needs

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
