My first experience with MDVIP but long time patient of Dr Salada. I am pleased she joined the MDVIP group and I get the same excellent care from Dr Salada as in the past but with additional services and more in depth testing as I head into retirement years.

Dr Salada is a very caring medical provider and truly makes her patients feel heard. She is a gem and empathic with those with chronic illnesses without judgement. She is quick to respond when a patient is having an urgent health issue. She is highly knowledgeably about disease process and management.

Dr. Salada is so caring and thorough. She always enters the room like a ray of sunshine and then listens carefully to what you tell her. She see her patients as whole people, not just in bits and pieces that have to be addressed separately. I so appreciate that because oftentimes, one thing effects something else and since being sick can also effect you mentally, Dr. Salada isn’t afraid to recommend counseling. She’s also open to holistic approaches and embraces the power of alternative solutions, like meditation, yoga and diet. She has treated my whole family for years and I have referred so many people to her because she’s like an old-time doctor in the modern world. I even ran into her outside of work once and she greeted me by name and with a hug! Now that’s the doctor I want!

I have been going to Dr. Salada for years and I cannot imagine going to anybody else. Her attention to detail is impeccable and when I do have a problem - she leaves no stone unturned. Rare to find that these days.

Unfortunately, I am not able to recommend this Doctor.

After requesting a referral to a specialist given the outcome of lab work and the fact I have a high deductible healthcare plan, I was denied the referral and told they would be handling my care. When I went in for my next appointment it was clear my lab work had not been reviewed prior to the visit and was a surprise to the NP I was seeing who then misdiagnosed me, and ordered incorrect labs. After two significantly expensive visits and incorrectly ordered lab work, I was eventually informed I would need to be referred to a specialist. As I had originally requested.

This says nothing about how long it took them and how many times I had to reach out requesting they actually make the referral to the specialist as well.

Professional, knowledgeable and friendly. She is very popular and hates to say no to new patient requests. So she is very busy. I try to use our time together efficiently.

So many awful experiences. They do not care about their patients. It’s about the money. The final straw was making an appointment to be seen for 3 specific symptoms and not one of those being addressed in favor of their agenda. The appointment consisted of an extremely insensitive discussion about why I need to take wegovy and refusing to end the appointment until I took a free sample. I’ve had a life long eating disorder. 3 months later I was in a treatment center and spent a month on couch rest. All 3 of the symptoms I came in for were related to my eating disorder. The eating disorder was fully documented in my chart had been since my first appointment 8 years earlier. It had been a focus of my appointments many times. Giving me that drug could have killed me but their agenda was more important than my mental and physical health. In a true act of pettiness, I asked for my records to be sent my new pcp. Dr. Salada’s office printed out 8 years of my medical record, hundreds of pages, and required me to pick them up. I asked why they couldn’t electronically transfer the records and was told, “We don’t have those apps.” Really? In 2023?
Finally, in 2024, I discovered that she misdiagnosed me with hypothyroidism in 2016. Eating disorders affect thyroid functioning and it’s actually dangerous to treat it with thyroid replacement hormones. 8 years of daily thyroid medication when I never needed it to begin with. This will affect me for the rest of my life. Dr. Salada, please learn the importance of a bedside manner, but most importantly educate yourself on eating disorders and endocrine dysfunction. Especially now that you closed down your practice in favor of opening a weight loss clinic.

Beware...I have been going to Dr Salada for years, today I showed up for an appointment that was booked months in advance, and rescheduled by her office), only to find out they no longer accept my insurance. The only correspondence I got was for me to make an appointment. Looks like paying $1200 a month for insurance and never being late on payment to this office, isn't enough! They admitted it was their error...no notification sent to me, nothing. They told me I would have to pay out of pocket if seen today. I am in pain, and in need...only to be dumped by the curb by Dr Salada. If I haven't shown for this appoint, I would have been charged. I now have to wait 2 more months to be seen by another doctor. Dr Salada must care more about making a few extra bucks, than caring for her patients in need. If she had done right, she would have seen me today and charged me what I normally pay due to the error of her office. Obviously her time is more important than mine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
