About Ronald Fuchs, MD

For nearly 25 years practicing internal medicine, I have strived to provide personalized, patient-focused medical care. I find that, in an increasingly impersonal medical world, I have more time to continue doing just that in my MDVIP-affiliated practice. I can review and discuss acute and chronic medical concerns, as well as educate patients about preventive care.

At Brown University, where I attended college and graduated from medical school, I studied a bio/psycho/social model of medicine. I believe wellness depends not only on the physical, but also the mental health of the patient, as well as their social environment. I work with each patient to help address these concerns. We can partner to develop a customized action plan for your unique health goals and needs.

I believe that a doctor should know you and your family and consider many factors to help as you pursue a healthier life. In my practice, we have more time to have deeper conversations about your health and goals for wellness. I believe that good nutrition, appropriate supplements, constructive social interaction and a regular aerobic fitness routine can be helpful aids.

I am associated with Main Line Health and have relationships with specialists and hospitals in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area.

My office serves Delaware, Montgomery and Chester counties in Pennsylvania. I have patients from Broomall, Newtown Square, Media, Havertown, Drexel Hill and surrounding communities.

Within 60 days of meeting for the first time Dr. Ronald Fuchs, he administered annual physicals for both me and my wife and realized quickly that he would be unable to help my wife’s rapidly deteriorating dementia but he did the very best he could in handling the situation and treated my wife’s primary caretaker (me!) with the highest level of care and understanding for which I will be forever…

It's hard to say enough wonderful things about not only Dr. Fuchs, but his entire practice in general. From the time you walk into the office, it's an entirely different vibe from any other doctor's office. You are made to feel at home immediately-Dr. Fuch's wife Amy-at the front desk-makes sure of that! The entire staff is warm and welcoming and are always there at any time, day or night, to help if you need it-either in person or by phone. You never feel alone with this team behind you!
If you call the office during business hours, chances are Dr. Fuchs himself will answer the phone and deal with any issues himself. The last time a doctor has ever cared enough to answer his office phone when I called was probably back in the 1970's! Dr. Fuchs is not only caring, his knowledge of medicine is staggering. His answers to every question are full, never rushed and never condescending. He explains everything from every angle until it is fully understood. Also, his bedside manner is calming and his sense of humor certainly lightens up every visit!
So very glad we found Dr. Fuchs!

This past summer I was on vacation in Ontario and became very ill. Unsure if it was serious we decided to cut our trip short and return home to the US so I could see our PCP, Dr. Fuchs. Before leaving I called his office and after consultation it was determined that I had a manageable acute condition. I was given a treatment regimen and Dr. Fuchs called an Rx into the nearest US pharmacy over the border. Immediately after calling, even though it was a weekend, I received a call back and then continued support and check-in texts over the next few days. My illness resolved quickly with the treatment regimen and our vacation was saved. Thank you so much!

Dr. Fuch's has a delightful and uplifting personality. He takes his time with the patient and exhibits a caring attitude.
His office is run with efficiency and when you call the office, you'll never guess, the staff actually answers the phone!
I am switching from a doctor I also really like to Dr. Fuch's primarily due to the fact I can reach him when I need to. The staff is great too.

Best doctor ever!!!!
Dr, Fuchs is hilarious, very professional, and gentle. I had to take a trip out of the country and got sick 2 days prior. I went to see him (without a set appointment) and they still made a way to fit me in. Luckily, Dr.Fuchs saw me, prescribed me some antibiotics and sent me on a happy trip. The wait time isn't very long, and the staff there is absolutely great. Very cleanly, super pleasant atmosphere, and I'm never worried when I get sick because I'm always in great hands.

Frequently Asked Questions

Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
