Dr. Podell has been our primary for a number of years and we are very happy with him, the people in his office, and the quality of care we are getting. Regarding both our regular check-ups and the (thankfully only) occasional emergency, he's been very responsive and helpful (not to mention knowledgeable). He seems genuinely interested and invested in our well-being and that is why we trust him.

Whomever is answering this office is the RUDEST person I have ever encountered!!
I just called to ask a question!!!, then got hung up on, called back and didn't even answered.. I am a very wary person about who I let touch/fix my body, I really don't understand how you can be in the health system, treating patients, and being such a horrible human being.

Dr Podell was my husband's doctor for years. My husband had a distended abdomen and instead of testing this in and MRI or CAT scan he told him to basically do no carbs. This was hard for him to be called obese, he was told this by Dr Podell. When he went into private practice....$2,000 a year, I decided that I wasn't so sure that he was such a good doctor. Less than a year later he developed stomach pain. I found him a new doctor in the Mainline System. On his 1st appointment he was sent for a CAT scan. Within a week he had an appointment with an Oncologist! My husband has been fighting stomach, liver, lymph node cancer for 2 years now. In other words stage 4 cancer. Ross Podell is very incompetent. And because of his negligence we are dealing with eventual death.

Fabulous DR and staff. Goes well above and beyond what any other doctor has done for me. My sons moved over to him from pediatrician and love him too. He has great insight and sizes up people quickly (very intuitive). Very patient and kind. Explains everything in detail and answers all questions. I never feel rushed out of the office. I feel like he cares about my family. Able to get in touch with him any time of day. Makes going to the DR easy and fun. MedVIP is expensive but top medical care from him is worth it. I wish I could find someone like him in every practice I/my sons visit .

I am a physician, and Ross was referred to me by my previous physician who was closing his practice. I have seen a lot of physicians, in my practice experience, who seemed far more concerned about generating revenue than caring for a patient, but never thought I would go to someone like that. I was mistaken. I got the most hurried, incomplete, and superficial exam I have ever had, and when my testing showed some potentially serious findings, Ross couldn’t wait to foist me off on another physician. I am embarrassed to think that this person is practicing medicine in our community.

He was my doctor for close to 20 yrs. Always thought he was a good guy then we got this MDVIP garbage in the mail from him telling us he wants$2,000 a year per person to continue to be his patient. Never have I misjudged somebody so bad as with this guy.

Just moved here from Maryland, so I visited Dr. Podell's Office as a new patient recently (May 2022). Dr. Podell was everything I expected for a good doctor. He was very kind and very knowledgeable. He spent his time talking about every details of my medical needs. Dr. Podell is also a very affable person? I find my visit to his office very enjoyable.
It's also worth mentioning that Dr. Podell's Secretary was also a very dedicated and kind lady! The building is not quite up to par with Dr. Podwell's medical excellence, but I'm ok with that part.

Every single month they got my husbands prescription wrong. Susan at the front desk would call in the prescription for the wrong dose, at the wrong time (sometimes a week out) to the wrong pharmacy. Every. single. month my husband would go through the painstaking effort to ask them to correct their mistakes which was met with zero accountability or any apology. It actually was like an episode of curb your enthusiasm, that’s how inept the runnings of this office are. Finally he switched doctors which he should’ve done a long time ago. Avoid the headache and find a more competent practice. Absolutely terrible!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Podell for over 15 years now, and he is great. I do not want to go to another doctor, however the last 5 times i have called no one answered. i have left messages and not got called back. i need to see him today but cannot get a hold of the office, and about 2 months ago i had the flu and could not get a call back. what gives!? is anyone else having this issue? very long time patient here too

Dr. Podell found my thyroid cancer and potentially saved my life. I’ve been to several PCP’s throughout the years and Dr. Podell is thorough, thoughtful and one of the best. Highly recommended!

my mother goes to this doctor and him and his nurse practicer not only don't even try to keep to their appointment schedule but don't even Take you on your turn. My mother had appointment for 1 PM they Have lunch between 12 and 1 Judith Kelly comes back late from lunch but take someone else first
