About Scott Yarmark, DO

My goal as your family doctor is to partner with you to help address current healthcare needs and develop plans to assist you as you strive for better health and wellness in the long term. As an MDVIP-affiliated physician, I have more time to focus on your preventive health and listen to your concerns.

I have 35 years of experience handling complex medical cases not only in my MDVIP-affiliated practice but also in hospital rehabilitation and nursing home settings. This experience has helped me foster relationships with specialists to whom I can refer. It is my goal to help decrease hospitalizations for my patients when possible.

My practice is in East Norriton, Pennsylvania, serving patients in surrounding areas of King of Prussia, Plymouth Meeting, Blue Bell, Norristown and the Main Line. In addition to caring for patients in my office, I provide care to patients at Brightview Senior Living, Meadowood Retirement Community, Markley Rehab and King of Prussia Skilled Nursing and Rehab. My practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments.

ve been searching for the right Dr since moving to Philly. I found the right one in Dr Yarmark after a long search! I wanted a Dr that would get to know me and take care of my general primary care needs all in one place rather than refer me out for every little thing. I decided I needed a Dr that has a concierge practice. I’m not finding that type of care from any of the many drs I met with. They rush you, overbook and over diagnose to earn extra money. Finally I met with a patient representative named Amanda from MDVIP, a concierge medicine company, and she introduced me to Dr Yarmark who was in the process of transitioning his practice! I met with Amanda on several occasions to address so many of my questions. She is extremely knowledgeable and patient and kind. She earned my trust over several meetings and finally recommended Dr Yarmark as he not only was becoming a MDVIP associated Dr but met all of my other requirements as well. Perfect! I met with Amanda and Dr Yarmark and enrolled in his practice immediately. Worth every cent!! I’ve met with him three times since and every appt is well planned for- there’s no long wait from double booking, he doesn’t rush you and he is so highly educated that he knows something about everything! He handles general practice needs, & is very educated and experienced in overall health issues. The annual exam proactively covers all Areas of your health- full physical, including vascular, muscle strength, lung health, hearing, vision, full bloodwork panels and heart health partnered with the Cleveland clinic! Dr Yarmark is extremely professional, pleasant and fun. I’m pretty sure there is a wait list to get in but well worth the effort to try and become a patient. I even have his personal phone number! This is the norm for an MDVIP concierge Dr! Ty Amanda from MDVIP and thank you Dr Yarmark!

Doctors are ok but the office staff is so incompetent. I always have to call multiple times to get lab work sent and now since they went concierge I've went in once to release my files called 4 times since to have just recent test results to be sent and nothing. And they want a couple thousand yearly to do what they are supposed to do in the first place. SMH

Was a happy patient for years here. Recently he decided to go the concierge medicine route. I would need to pay an additional $1500 a year to remain a patient, which I just can't afford. Disappointed.

Women who mainly answers the phone has a bit of an attitude. A bit aggressive almost as if she’s the one that pays the money and is the customer. It’s quite befuddling. Anyway I’m not going to argue with page, she can act like that but she will get bad reviews 😊 please be more accommodating as I’m concerned about my health. The rudeness absolutely doesn’t help.I gave her a few chances but it’s so consistent. “We will have the doctor call you” basically like, “ok I’m getting off the phone because I don’t know how to do my job well enough in this situation”. I can guarantee no one will call me back.

Just switched to this office. Went for my initial patient visit and couldn’t be happier with my choice. The front desk was very helpful in making sure my insurance info, pharmacy info etc was all taken care of and updated. They were also very helpful with any questions I had. Have not had the pleasure of seeing the doctor yet. My appt was with the nurse practitioner Ryan. It was exactly what I was looking for in a healthcare provider. She asked questions and listened but in a very calming relaxed manner. Overall , definitely a 5 star review.

Do a favor to yourself and look for another primary care doctor. Terrible experience with the billing department. You'll owe them money because they will bill the procedures incorrectly to make more money out of you.

Made a checkup appt. with Yarmark, but was switched to the nurse practitioner without being told. Never got lab results back. Charged incorrectly. Took a week for billing person to get back in touch because they only work half time. Looking for a new primary care physician.

My 93 yr old Mother is a resident at Regina Nursing Center and Dr Yarmark became her doctor once she moved there. In April this year my Mother was one of the many residents who came down with the corona virus. I thank God and Dr Yarmark for saving her life. I am so grateful that once my Moms test came back positive
Dr Yarmark prescribed hydroxychloraquin and azithromyacin as her treatment and within 24 hrs her none stop fevers went away and in 48 hrs her oxygen level which had dropped to 93 went up to 95 and by the end of the course of the medication which was no more than a week her oxygen level was 98 and my Mom was well on her way to full recovery. She had a lingering cough for a few weeks afterwards but she survived and is well. I praise Dr Yarmark who chose to investigate with other drs and hospitals what was working best for their corona virus patients and putting that information to work and not buckling under the pressure not to use these medications because President Trump had hoped they would be a good medicine for patients with this virus.
I am sooo very grateful my Mother wasn’t one of the 25 residents who tested positive for the virus at Regina that died. I am eternally grateful to Dr Yarmark that my Mom wasn’t one of those poor people who had to die without their families being with them. That would have been too painful and haunted my Moms 5 children and her grandchildren the rest of our lives.
THANK YOU DR YARMARK. YOU WILL REMAIN IN MY PRAYERS ALWAYS.

I have been his patient maybe 25 years,it never gets old. Like this last visit.Dr. said" next time you take a trip" I said "let me guess you want to go?",he said " No,call me before you go to Patient First,I can get you to the hospital for an x-ray".You see I took a bad trip over a rug, thought I broke my wrist. It was the weekend.I went to Patient First, now they may be ok for a cold, but not a injury.Yes they took an xray, but the Dr. with no bedside manner, said" I can't tell if it is torn, fractured or sprained, and I can't give you anything for the severe pain." That was a waste of time and money. Dr.Scott Yarmark has always been ready to help, and I have had many a medical problem, but I am on my way to live to be 100. He makes you feel better and shows he cares, even with a MASK.

I would not trust anyone more than Dr. Yarmark. When I told him I was not feeling well he figured out, in his office I had a heart attack in the prior days, not back and shoulder pain, and the flu. Within a few day he was helping me recover from quadruple bypass surgery. Since I was in my early 40's at the time, most docs would have dismissed my concerns as something else, but Dr Yarmark took the time to LISTEN TO ME, and run tests, which showed the heart attack. That is hard to find these days. One of the arteries that was 95 % blocked was the "widow maker" and I had only weeks or so left, if that, until that massive coronary, according to the surgeon. I have been with him for 15 years. His new office on Germantown Ave is new and beautiful. I am telling you, I deal with alot of docs, managing a few health probs, and Dr Yarmark gets an A+ in my book, you should give him a try.

Frequently Asked Questions

Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
