Eve L. Patton, MD

My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My goal is to develop doctor-patient relationships that not only foster confidence in me as a physician but also boosts confidence in the patients themselves and their ability to achieve optimum health. I am concerned with the person’s whole self, not just his or her ailments. My mission is to provide guidance and the information necessary to assist patients through the complex maze of insurance, formularies, specialists, tests and technology.

Medicine is an art. Though rooted in science, medicine requires certain skills not found in books:

  • Talking, but most importantly being understood
  • Hearing, but most importantly listening
  • Taking into account the patients' physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. All of these components together make us human, and each requires the others to function optimally.

My approach to your wellness:

  • Listen: only by listening and observing can I know you.
  • Learn: learn your health and wellness strengths and weaknesses to serve you better.
  • Teach: you cannot conquer what you do not understand.
  • Empower: through understanding, we gain knowledge and knowledge is POWER.
