My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

Growing up in a small Pennsylvania town, I was influenced by the doctors who were completely dedicated to their patients constantly working in their best interest. And now that I have been practicing for 30 years, I have found that to be a compelling model for clinical practice. I believe this is a profession, not a trade, and I always work in my patient's best interest.
It is a privilege for me to function in a capacity where I can potentially help avoid medical problems or treat problems as they arise. My philosophy is to do my job, both technically and emotionally to the best of my ability and in the interests of my patients. My guiding principles are simple - tell the truth and don't be arrogant.
I believe my patients who are part of my MDVIP-affiliated practice value the same goals of health care which I embrace - the values of prevention and wellness and of allowing adequate time to effectively work together to keep them happy and healthy.

I’m convinced that MDViP gives me the confidence that my Dr. will be there when I need his help. My Dr. , Richard Berg , has filled that need perfectly. He and his staff have been very responsive. Fortunately, I haven’t had to deal with anything major, but I can tell by their response to prescriptions, new meds, and general scheduling, that they are real professionals.

I'm a 64 year old male. I have dealt with many doctors through my personal medical care and as a litigation attorney who regularly interacted with and relied on doctors that treated my clients. Dr. Richard Berg has always been more than a physician; he addresses each concern and illness of his patients immediately with suggestions, directions, and advice. Return phone calls are very much a part of his practice. I have never known how he manages to respond so quickly to whoever calls for a consult. The resulting relationship between patient and physician is more like family than it is… See more
