My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
The physician patient relationship works best when it is based on mutual trust and engagement. I am excited for the opportunity to provide personalized healthcare that educates and engages my patients in their own well-being. This model of healthcare delivery is unique in allowing the time and personal contact necessary for detailed and comprehensive reviews of each patient’s individual needs and treatment options. Working together we can focus on promoting health and preventing illness, not just treating its occurrence. My MDVIP-affiliated practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments. I believe passionately that education is vital to fully enlisting my patients in maintaining their own well-being and becoming active agents in the plans we devise together. To be able to do so now is my privilege.
For over 20 years, since completing medical school and residency at Boston University School of Medicine, I have served my neighbors here in southeastern Connecticut. I have practiced both outpatient primary care and hospital-based medicine while on staff at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital. I have been involved in all aspects of healthcare delivery and look forward to devoting my efforts where I feel they can do the most good for my patients and my community. Combining both the experience of MDVIP in supporting the delivery of personalized primary care and now the systemic support of Hartford Healthcare, I believe that we can deliver a healthcare experience that is second to none.
