My goal as your family physician is to provide you with personalized care and help to prevent long-term health problems. Whether your goal is to improve your eating or exercise habits, prevent diabetes or heart disease based on enhanced test results, learn new strategies to improve your quality of life with chronic health problems, or just maintain your current health status going forward, we can do more together.

My MDVIP-affiliated practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, also offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments. Just four miles from the Massachusetts border, I offer longer, face-to-face visits and the ability to contact me after hours. We will focus on prevention strategies, and I have undergone extra training to make that benefit go even further. 

• I am board certified in obesity medicine. This allows us to focus on nutrition, exercise and behavioral health strategies to help foster a healthier lifestyle, as well as possibly reduce health risks, cut personal healthcare costs and reduce medications.
• I trained in the BaleDoneen Method, focusing on helping to reduce risks for heart disease, stroke and dementia, just to name a few. To further support our focus in these areas, and in addition to the tests included in the annual MDVIP Wellness Program, we offer carotid ultrasounds (CIMT), oral pathogen testing, sleep studies, gut microbiome evaluation, cardiovascular genetics and lipoproteins. 

I am also excited to offer two optional advanced cancer screening tests outside of the MDVIP Wellness Program services. Please call the office to see if these additional tests are right for you and their costs.

• One is a genetic test for cardiovascular and cancer markers.
• Another is a multi-cancer detection test completed through bloodwork that can screen for 50 additional cancers.

I am a dual board-certified physician in family medicine and obesity medicine,  and I have been voted the North Central News’ Top Doctor every year since 2014. I am currently an attending physician at Trinity Health of New England Johnson Memorial Hospital and a community physician for Eastern Connecticut Health Network at Rockville General Hospital and Manchester Memorial Hospital.

My patients come from both Northcentral Connecticut (incuding but not limited to) Enfield, Ellington, Stafford, Somers, Tolland and Vernon, and Western Massachusetts (including but not limited to) Agawam, Longmeadow, Ludlow, Southwick, Springfield and Wilbraham.
