My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

William Osler once said, “The good physician treats the disease, the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.” Medicine has been known to be both a science and an art. While the science of medicine has always fascinated me, it is ever changing, and I strive to keep up with the changes. It is the art of medicine that has changed me and shaped me into the person and physician that I am today.

I have always enjoyed the totality of internal medicine, which encompasses all the organ systems, each with its own complexity and uniqueness. Each system must work in unity to keep a person healthy. It is this approach of having to think of the whole system, which has taught me to view my patients as a whole. During my 17 years of practice as a board‐certified internal medicine physician, I have realized that knowing who a person is by listening closely, forming a relationship and developing trust are just as important as preventing, diagnosing and treating medical problems. It is this aspect of my job that gives me the most joy and fulfillment.

My MDVIP-affiliated practice will offer longer appointment times, which will enable me the opportunity to form deeper relationships, develop personalized wellness plans, screen for illness, and treat existing medical conditions. This model provides advanced healthcare screenings and diagnostic tests that go far beyond traditional practices. My patients will also experience conveniences like same or next day appointments that start on time, which may be found in other concierge medicine practices.

While my practice is currently located in Fayetteville, New York, I have been practicing primary care in the greater Syracuse area for many years and have affiliations with Crouse, St. Josephs and University Hospital. My focus is on preventive medicine, women’s health and cardiovascular disease. I also enjoy teaching and hold a faculty position at University Hospital as an Associate Professor of Medicine.

from Mary in NY April 3, 2024 for Biby Rajan-George, MD

Hello, I will be totally honest. I had no interest in joining MDVIP. I was happy with my Nurse Practitioner (I never got to see the actual doctor) and since I never went to the doctor but once a year for my annual physical, I felt I didn't need more care than that. Plus, I couldn't justify the cost of the MDVIP program. I consider myself to be pretty healthy with no health issues… See more

from Janet in NY February 29, 2024 for Biby Rajan-George, MD

Dr. Rajan-George is an excellent listener, and her perceptiveness and comforting demeanor allows me to leave her office feeling calm, well cared for, and as if I had spent time with an excellent psychologist . She has an astute knowledge of medicine. She also has an acute understanding of people. Her office staff is outstanding. When I go for an appointment I feel well cared for from the… See more

I've been a patient of Dr Biby Rajan-George's for over a year and a half & feel that I've finally found the perfect fit for me. Three years ago I had to find a new doctor because mine retired. I found Dr. Rajan George and was to have my first physical with her in two weeks. About two weeks before the upcoming appointment for the physical, I developed a cough and fever. The same day I was scheduled for blood work in her office, she saw me and sent me for an -ray of my lungs. It was pneumonia and she prescribed an… See more

She listens. She trusts me to know my body. If you have ever had a doctor that doesn’t respect what you say then you will understand why this is key to being a great care giver. I want to be there for my family for a very long time and that is what she wants as well. We are a team.

from Susan in NY February 6, 2024 for Biby Rajan-George, MD

How do you summarize all that Dr. Biby Rajan-George has meant to my husband and me for almost 20 years? There's a reason we followed her to MDVIP. Of all the physicians we have had, she is by far the most caring and compassionate we've experienced. She has never made our appointments feel rushed or made you feel like you're just another patient. She not only asks what's new… See more
