A Better Path for Physicians
Are you at a crossroads in your career?
MDVIP offers doctors a variety of solutions to navigate the challenges of our complex healthcare system.

With over 22 years of experience, MDVIP works one-on-one with physicians the same way our doctors work with patients—we provide customized support to meet your unique business needs and de-risk the change process with our proven solutions.
Whether you’re looking for more work-life balance or thinking about retirement, you have nothing to lose and much to gain by exploring the possibilities that have enhanced the lives of countless colleagues nationally.
Affiliation
Becoming an affiliated physician allows you to practice medicine the way you were trained and spend more time with patients rather than administrative paperwork. MDVIP offers physician affiliation and select employment opportunities*, depending on an assessment of your situation. Both our affiliated and employed physicians enjoy the same benefits of:
- Closer Doctor-Patient Relationships
- Predictable Income
- Autonomy
- More Work-Life Balance
With 75% of revenue coming from membership fees, in addition to insurance reimbursement, the stress of practicing volume medicine no longer dictates your schedule. In fact, both MDVIP-affiliated and employed practices are limited to no more than 600 patients, which allows adequate time to provide more comprehensive, personalized and preventive care. And because the model also affords you a better way to practice and better work-life balance, it's not uncommon for MDVIP doctors to extend their careers and postpone retirement.
*Disclaimer: Employment is offered through a separate entity from MDVIP LLC.
Practice Acquisition
For physicians interested in acquiring an MDVIP practice or seeking employment, we have opportunities around the country when MDVIP-affiliated physicians leave medicine and take advantage of our Retirement Program.
Our succession planning enables new physicians to take over an established MDVIP-affiliated practice or convert their current practice to the MDVIP model and integrate it with the retiring affiliate's patients. This option has worked well for doctors coming from hospital-employed or VA clinic positions, and physicians who are relocating and need to build a patient base. For physician groups, acquiring a tenured MDVIP-affiliated practice adds a strategic service arm to your current offerings to attract new patients.
Retirement
MDVIP approaches retirement planning the same way we approach practice transitions—putting you and your patients first. There are various ways physicians can benefit from MDVIP's succession services and expertise.
For Affiliated Physicians
MDVIP supports your success from transitioning to the model through retirement. Unlike traditional primary care where doctors leaving medicine often receive very little compensation, MDVIP assists affiliated physicians in finding a qualified successor to take over patient care so they can retire with peace of mind and 100% proceeds from the sale of their practice.
For Non-Affiliated Physicians
If your first introduction to MDVIP is when you are ready to retire from primary care, we also help non-affiliated physicians with succession planning. Services may include MDVIP-affiliated physicians providing continuity-of-care for your patients, or the sale of your practice in select circumstances.
Selling Your Practice
MDVIP and/or an MDVIP-affiliated physician may be open to discussing an opportunity with you if you are looking to sell your primary care practice.
We understand that a main concern you face when preparing to close your practice is the future well-being of patients. And MDVIP can help you identify an ideal successor. You can take great comfort in knowing our goals are aligned—to provide patients the continued, personalized care they are accustomed to receiving from you and to help you capitalize on your practice equity.
