My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

My path to becoming an internal medicine doctor is grounded in my own family’s values and my desire to use my strong communication skills and approachability in caring for patients. I believe that our whole is indeed “the sum of our parts,” and I thrive on working with patients to achieve the goal of being physically active and emotionally balanced – creating the ideal conditions to advance their health. Prevention has always been the cornerstone of my practice.

As a female primary care doctor, I fulfill a critical need and provide care in the community where I live (Metrowest). Many of my patients are friends and neighbors. I am locally trained. I earned my medical degree at University of Massachusetts Medical School and did my medical training at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital Residency Program, including a year as Chief Resident. I have particular interests in women’s health and preventive medicine, as well as management of chronic diseases, including obesity, hypertension and diabetes. I joined Newton-Wellesley Hospital (now part of the Mass General Brigham system) after completing my residency in 2005 and have strong and continuing relationships with specialists at these institutions. My supportive and welcoming approach to caring for patients has earned me Boston Top Doctor recognition annually since 2017.

My MDVIP-affiliated practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, offers conveniences, including same or next-day appointments. More time together means we can partner in an in-depth approach to your healthcare and devise a personalized wellness plan that meets your needs and goals.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. DeAnzeris

from Naomi in MA April 4, 2024 for Kathryn DeAnzeris, MD

My story is simple:
Dr. D'Anzeris and her staff are always there for me. That has been very, very important during the past two years because I've experienced many more health challenges than in the past, more than I could ever have imagined. I feel very fortunate to be one of her patients and of course would recommend her to others if there were openings in her practice,

from Suellen in MA April 4, 2024 for Kathryn DeAnzeris, MD

Where does one begin, I have been a patient of Dr. DeAnezsis for over 10 years. When I first met her, I instantly felt a connection to her. She was relatable, honest, energetic, compassionate, knowledgeable yet, professional. Watching, her over the years trying to give the best care in an industry that is bureaucratic, full of regulations, wait time and endless insurance protocols is… See more

when I unknowingly broke my hand, my doctor not only referred me to an great hand surgeon, but her staff set up the appointment for me, sparing me the hassle of me having to getting through layers of admin to explain the problem and make an appointment. (she also responded promptly to my query about the above hand issue, (unfortunately a rare occurrence in today's medicine) which was… See more

I’ve always felt very important as a patient under Katie Deanzaris’s care. She is always so thorough in my visits, ensuring I’m taking all the appropriate and proactive next steps to remain in good health.

The moment that mattered the most to me was when I landed in the hospital two years ago around Thanksgiving due to pneumonia and found out through all the scans that a tumor was… See more

Dr DeAnzeris made a quick diagnosis after some blood test results in May. She was very efficient and timely in arranging for further tests and follow ups, including appropriate medication, as well as advice on diet and nutrition. On the back of her work, I have made significant changes to my lifestyle and daily routine that hopefully should help in preventative actions. She is a good listener… See more

Dr. DeAnzeris has been an absolute godsend. When our college-age son developed a disabling autoimmune disorder, we were overwhelmed with the difficulty of obtaining cohesive care. A year into his disease, Dr. D opened her MDVIP practice, and we were one of the fortunate families to join. Time and time again, Dr. D has gone the extra mile. At the height of our son’s disease, he was bedridden… See more

Katie DeAnzeris has been my doctor for probably 20 years. She took care of my mother and my sister and I are still in her practice. She has been more than a doctor but also a friend. She doesn’t just care about my physical well being but my mental well being. I have shared many intimate parts of my life with her. Even before she became part of MDVIP she never rushed when she was with me. Every… See more
