Jess Jacobs is a seasoned marketing executive with a track record of driving growth and innovation in global e-commerce and technology companies. She joined MDVIP in 2025 after serving as the Head of Growth Marketing for Shop at Shopify, where she accelerated the growth of Shopify’s consumer product. Also at Shopify, she built the brand marketing team - launching TV, audio, and out-of-home that have driven significant brand growth. Prior to Shopify, Jess held multiple leadership roles at Wayfair, including Head of Acquisition and Paid Retention Marketing and CMO of Birch Lane, where she managed advertising across five brands and four global markets. Under her leadership, Wayfair’s digital marketing strategies were transformed through advanced ad tech innovations, augmented reality experiences and award-winning mobile campaigns. Jess’ career spans strategic marketing, partnerships and consulting, with key roles at Intent Media, McKinsey & Company, Vox Media and Washington Kastles, a professional tennis team that’s part of World TeamTennis. Her expertise in data-driven marketing, creative strategy and organizational leadership has consistently delivered measurable business growth. Jess holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with concentrations in marketing, strategy and economics, and a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. She’s been quoted in the NYTimes and selected as one of Boston’s Top Women in Technology, by Accomplice VC. Outside of work, Jess enjoys spending time with her family, including her son, and likes audiobooks, architecture and small angel investing.
