Dr. Sordi is a excellent doctor; competent and affable. My whole family (three generations) go to him. His nurse was also very helpful clearing up a mistake that my insurance provider made.

I can’t say enough great things about Erin Lavin. She’s THE BEST!!! She is always professional and friendly, very approachable, thorough and very efficient. I feel like I can contact her at anytime and she is right on top of things. I feel like she truly cares about me, as a person, and not just a patient. She cares about my overall health and total well being. I live in an area where good healthcare is hard to come by, so I feel so lucky to have Erin Lavin as my Physician.

Our experience with Dr. Lavin was such that we joined the MDVIP program at a considerable expense. As retirees this was a big decision but our faith in her medical knowledge and her interpersonal skills was the deciding factor. Two of our friends also recently became patients with her after meeting and reviewing their medical history.
Dr Lavin identified a serious medical issue during my examination that I was not aware of and I would not be writing this review today if she had not identified it.

Annual dues even with insurance. How are people on Medicare/Humana able to afford this scam. Are you kidding me?

I am very fortunate that I am able to afford to stay a patient of Dr. Lavin through MDVIP. I was recently ill and had to be admitted to the hospital for a three day stay. If it had not been for Dr. Lavin, I don't believe I would have faired as well as I did. She was in constant contact with me and ensured that I was following the recommendations and approach to healing that she made.

Great staff and doctors. Even has a walk in. But the practice is changing. Today I was told no dogs are allowed...including service dogs. Insensitive to people with disabilities. Sad.

Dr. Lavin and PA Sarah Stamm have been super dedicated doctors for me and my wife for over five years. The staff are both competent and friendly. Very grateful for their care.

Love our doctor and the practice generally, but the patient portal for MAFP versus MDVIP is essentially useless. The Portal should NOT be a source of aggravation.

Dr. Lavin and her staff are absolutely wonderful. This includes the care they provide as well as preventative and wellness programs.

My experience with my primary care physician through MD VIP and the staff have been very satisfying. They are very responsive, efficient, and professional.

I am, for the time being, a patient of Dr. Daryl Sharman. I have been a patient of Dr. Sharman’s since he joined Mid-Atlantic Family Practice. With each continued visit, I become more perturbed at the amount of time it takes to see him for a scheduled appointment. The last visit I had with him, I waited an hour and a half to see him. Once he is in the room, he talks above me and does not put his medical terms in “layman’s” terms to help me understand what is being prescribed, ordered, etc., the point of this course of action and what the next step will be. I am extremely frustrated with Dr. Sharman and his medical care.

I spoke with the office manager of the Millsboro location, Shelley Raimondo, on today’s date. I asked to have another doctor assume my primary care due to my concerns with Dr. Sharman. I was told it was against the policy observed by Mid-Atlantic Family Practice to move patients from one physician within the practice to another. I was told I would have to find another doctor at another practice altogether.

I think this policy is absolutely absurd. I appreciate the convenience of the location of the office, and have had no problems with any other portion of MAFP. I think to turn patients away that want to stay with you is not good business practice.

My parents, two siblings, their families, and copious amounts of friends use MAFP for their primary care physicians. I would like to continue using MAFP as my primary care physician as well. If I am forced to change, they all have said they will be changing as well.

I am diabetic, and to be put in a position where I either have to stay with the doctor I am “assigned” to and established with because it is against your policy is extremely bothersome to me. I am now forced to find another doctor, wait to get an appointment with them because I will be a new patient, transfer medical records, and not have the timely follow-up visits required by my condition.

I would ask that MAFP review this policy, if not only for my benefit, for the benefit of others.

Start off with this. Wonderful Docs here. After being a patient there for 10 years, and many previous trials with physicians, I was told I can longer be a patient unless I pay 1800 dollars annually for "A MVP" style payment program. My Doc never missed a beat with me for the previous 10 years, which was important to me as I am a combat Veteran with PTSD and Anxiety. I have been prescribed multiple medications and I have come a long way. I was not directed to find another physician. I was not directed that I would no longer be a patient there. I show up for my appointment, only to be told I am no longer a patient. Now I have to scramble to find a Doc through the VA in hopes of getting my prescription/s filled. I am beyond hurt. I get it though: everyone wants to work less hours while not losing pay.

Dr. Erin E. Lavin, D.O. is an amazing healthcare provider. Her knowledge & caring ways give my husband & I full confidence in the service she provides. Her responsiveness to calls and concerns is impeccable. The compassion she provides is comforting. Her communication skills are clear and concise. She’s the fit for us!
