Dr Thach took my mom on a few years ago. My mom was struggling with many different parts of maintaining her independence. Dr Thach has taken amazing care of my mom. She sent nurses for medicine management, PT, OT , and more. She has dove for my mom than any other dr ever did. She genuinely cares and asks great questions. Then she follows up with other providers to make sure my mom gets the care. She is thoughtful and kind as well as the best dr. I have ever worked with.

I am very pleased with health care provided for both myself and more so for my brother, who is also a patient. He is in an assisted living facility and his medications are administered by the staff. I have called Dr. Thach on weekends about concerns about his health. She has always responded quickly. These were not emergent issues, but more for his comfort. The facility does not always have what he needs, and Dr. Thach has contacted pharmacies where I can pick up a medication to help ease his discomfort.

Dr. Thach rejected my mother as a patient before ever meeting her. We had scheduled a “meet and greet” prior to her moving to VT. She had had a stroke during the move. We took her directly to the ER. When they asked who her PCP was, I told them we planned to meet with Dr. Thach. When Dr. Thach received the records from the hospital, she cancelled the meet and greet and refused to consider her as a patient. The result was that my mother could not be referred to rehab and suffered a month of inappropriate care, which included 3 more visits to the ER. My mother was nearly forced into memory care (at a facility where Dr. Thach is conveniently the doctor) due do the lack of a PCP. Turned out her problems were fairly easily resolved by treating a UTI and adjusting the medication that was causing her to pass out. However, because Dr. Thach refused her care, my mother was forced to endure a month of dangerous falls, dehydration, humiliation, and a near brush with a memory care facility.

I understood the difficulty we would face moving them into VT because of the shortage of PCPs and had prepared accordingly by setting up Dr. Thach’s services in advance. When she called to tell me she was refusing my mother as a patient without even meeting her, she word for word said to me, “I cannot save everyone.” The is unconscionable and disgusting. It took one proper doctor’s visit to straighten out my mother’s issues. Had Dr. Thach done her job, this would have been done in December. Instead my mother languished until late January and was lucky she was not permanently injured by the lack of care.

The seniors in this community deserve better than this doctor of convenience. You disgust me Dr. Thach.

I've been a patient of Dr. Thach's and love being part of her practice. Each patient means so much to her and she really wants to do the absolute best for everyone. She also cares for my dad who resides at the Arbors where she is medical director, and is wonderful there as well. If you want someone who will care about your overall health and be thorough and caring, I would not hesitate to recommend her!!

For the last 10 years our now 90-year-old mother has never been satisfied with her doctors until she started working with Dr. Thach. My mother had been extremely difficult to please when it came to personal physicians. We signed on with Dr Thach last September and we are more than pleased with the decision.

Dr Thach takes a genuine interest in our mother’s wellbeing, makes ample time for her, listens closely and actively. Dr. Thach and her office team are lovely to work with, very responsive and thorough.

Recently Mother had some complications and difficulty understanding her early dementia diagnosis. Dr Thach stayed in close contact with me and my mother to unsure she was adjusting well. She and her team truly care. What we’re most appreciative of is the fact that she hasn’t taken on too many patients into her practice. Her model for care and service obviously requires that she keep a good balance of her Dr-to-patient ratio. Which makes this work for us.

She is the best and most compassionate doctor my very picky mother has ever worked with in Vermont. She is the real deal and top-drawer!

I agree that it is very unfortunate that there is such limited access to primary care in our state right now and I think your story further exemplifies that we need to change this. I wish I could take on more patients but I do have to limit my practice size in order to provide quality care to those in my practice. Part of the intention of having a meet and greet session at my practice is to determine if my practice will be a good fit for a patient and if I have the tools needed to be able to provide the best care for a patient. As you know, primary care physicians are not obligated to provide medical care for patients that are not in their practice.

Though you and I never met, we had a long discussion explaining my concerns and including my recommendations for someone in this position. I am happy you were able to find help.

I am so pleased to be a patient in Dr Thach’s practice. She is consistently very responsive when I am in touch with her and takes the time to check in when necessary. Appointments are thorough and never rushed. The office space is very welcoming. Dr Thach’s assistant, Carly, is an asset to this practice and is never to busy to be of help.

I recently had a medical situation while on vacation in Colorado. Dr. Thatch kept in constant contact with the hospital and my wife. She has been a great advocate for me during this tough time.

My appointments with Dr Thach highlight her caring and unrushed approach. She has listened to my concerns and facilitated getting the appropriate referral to a specialist. I feel very at ease going into an appointment and feel she is fully engaged in quality care and attentive listening with me. Last October after Hurricane Ian, my husband and I were required to evacuate our home on Sanibel Island, Florida where we had excellent health care from our MDVIP Doc there. Since then, we have been residing in our remote summer cabin in the Adirondacks and were challenged to find an MDVIP Doc nearby. We are both very senior citizens dealing with some critical health issues and desperately needed a PCP as soon as possible. We were so fortunate to find Dr. Thach who was ready, willing, and able to take us on as new patients, despite our ages. Over the last 4 months she has Always been available by phone, text or in person at any time of the day or night. We were totally amazed at her dedication to our care when, after we called her one evening last month, she directed me to take my husband immediately to the nearest ER which was in Plattsburg, to be evaluated for a possible serious infection. The entire time we were there from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am the next day, Dr. Thatch was by her computer, evaluating all the blood and urine tests in real time that were posted on-line, and messaging ME the results sitting right there in the hospital before any of the on-site ER Docs shared the information with us in person! Throughout this frightening experience, Dr. Thatch was able to explain what was going on and reassure us about a positive outcome to our hospital visit. We are so pleased to know that among her other areas of expertise, Dr. Thach is a skilled practitioner in geriatric care and we are confident that she will be able to address all our present and future medical challenges with care and compassion.. We cannot recommend her highly enough.
