My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

When I first opened my practice 25 years ago, I wrote this: “Many of the chronic diseases in adults are the result of lifestyle choices. Emphasis is placed on disease prevention through educating patients about healthy lifestyle choices. These recommendations are based on continued critical analysis of medical literature”. I still believe this now more than ever.

I also understand the importance of the patient-physician relationship. I am a fifth generation physician and am proud to continue the tradition. As a child, I remember riding along with my father as he made house calls. I have continued to make house calls in my practice. Affiliating with MDVIP will allow me to continue seeing my patients at their home when they are too ill to come to my office.

My MDVIP-affiliated practice allows me to be a “country doctor” while getting to know each of my patients as individuals. In doing so, along with the latest screenings and diagnostic tests, I may be able to detect problems before they become major issues. I also have a strong background in science, with a BA and MS in Biochemistry, as well as several years of basic “bench science”. I have been trained to look at the latest health foods critically.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Campbell

from Peter in NJ March 6, 2018 for A. Scott Campbell, MS, MD

I have just entered my 87th year. I surprised myself by realizing that I remembered the name of my pediatrician in Scarsdale, N.Y. in the 1930s - Dr. Buchman. Also, Dr. Miller, in New York City, in the 1940s. Dr. Zimmerman, in White Plains, New York, in the 50s thru 60s. And Dr. Brosgol, in Chappaqua, New York, during the 70s thru the 90s. Dr. DePutron, in Vero Beach, Florida during my… See more

I am a major administrator in physician health care. Dr. Campbell was initially chosen by me as I did not want to receive my medical care at the institution I worked in. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have a physian that I brag to my friends about. They envy the care and attention he provides me. Calling in the evening to tell me about my labs and chiding me a bit… See more

Dr. Campbell is a wonderful doctor who truly spends as much time as is necessary with you in order to help with any medical issues I may have. I came from years of being with doctors in the Managed Care world where they spend about 5 mins with you before walking out the door. The MDVIP experience is totally different where the doctor spends a lot more time with you which is great. Dr. Campbell… See more

Today, more than ever before, patients must be actively involved in their own health and wellness care. The golden age of medicine is past. To achieve this, it is essential that a patient forms a partnership with his/her physician. I cannot conceive of a more perfect model of the ideal physician partner than Scott Campbell, MD.

I feel fortunate to have become a member of Dr.… See more

I feel you really care about me; I've had physicans that ask, What's the problem? and move to diagnosis/treatment in a nano second. They treat the problem and forget that the problem is housed within the patient. I feel you treat the PERSON who has a medical problem. Big difference.
