Danny A. Newman, MD, FACP

I'll preface this story by stating that Danny Newman was our primary physician before MDVIP came into the picture. I often questioned him as to his ideas concerning concierge medicine. And then one day the information concerning MDVIP surfaced. While the moneys concerning the service may seem a little high, we are constantly amazed with the professional quality of care offered. I'm not the healthiest man on the planet nor am I the sickest, either. What I find exceptional is the ability to use Danny's practice as a hub for all the specialist which I see on a regular basis...now that's primo!
It's almost impossible to select one instance out of so many. The story which I consider to be and was a head-turner was a couple years back. My wife and I were out of town. I was suffering from a swollen jaw and dry mouth. We were packing to return home - 4 1/2 hour drive. We called Dr. Newman and he was waiting for my arrival back to town. At the same time I got in touch with my dentist who stated that if we could get to his office by 3:00 P.M. he could squeeze me in. We arrived at the dental college in Augusta, GA and was hurried into an exam room. The dentist, an oral surgeon and nurse were checking my vitals when I mentioned needing to get Dr. Newman into the conversation, since he was waiting on my visit. We were discussing the qualities of MDVIP services, since my dentist knew that I was a member. He and the surgeon were scanning my recent x-rays when I made a call to Dr. Newman...went straight to voicemail. The chuckles could be heard as-well-as the reference to it being a holiday. I decided to text the office..."In the dentist chair...need a call. My phone rang. It was Danny's #1, Sandra, asking "how she could help." I turned to my dentist and stated, "it's for you"...No more chuckles!!! After the call all were on the same page concerning my prescription and prognosis...xerostomia and an infection.
This is the type of excellent service my wife and I receive from Newman & White. While it's great to have superb doctors, it's outstanding to know the staff is of such high caliber that they can swing into action when called. Let it be noted that my wife and I have added 4 individuals to the practice.

I started seeing Dr. Danny Newman very early in his practice. He has always taken the time to explain everything so carefully that you can understand what is going on. When Dr.Danny said that he was changing his practice to MDVIP, I didn’t know what I was going to do. I cried and cried and he asked me what was wrong. I told him that I didn’t want to his practice. I fold him I couldn’t come up with paying the fee all at once. Everyone in the office was so kind. They told me I couldn’t leave. So Dr. Danny worked it out for me. Dr. Danny has always gone above and beyond. He is very thoughtful and caring. His whole staff is the best as well.

Thankful I was introduced to the practice by a special friend who had nothing but praise. I now know and share her praise. I desire great medical care and I desire the care with demonstrated care and kindness. Dr. Newman sets the spirit of care and kindness in the office and the team follows his lead. I am a recent patient with nothing but thankful praise.

I was having a difficult time with fatigue, breathing, and experiencing the feeling that I would just blank out at anytime. I had gone to my cardiologist and taken several test that were negative. I told Dr. Danny Newman about my experience at the Masters not being able to walk a few steps without having chest pains and breathing problems. He sent me for additional test and asked that the cardiologist give me a Cardiac catheterization. The cardiologist stated that he did not feel the procedure was necessary and related that to me. Dr. Danny insisted and the cardiologist stated he would do it to make Dr. Danny happy. As a result of the catheteriation, two stints were put in. I am so grateful that Dr. Danny was persistent. He saved my life. Dr. Danny is a very friendly and caring doctor. I saw Dr. Danny in the grocery store and thought, well he would never speak. I would have never gone up to him because I respect his privacy. Well, he came up to me and spoke. I was trying to hide the pork I had in the basket (had yogurt also} but he saw it. He had cautioned me about my diet. I am trying to do better. He did not make me feel bad but I knew It was wrong and now I am trying to do the right thing.
He is just a great doctor. I always feel that Dr. Danny Newman is accessible when I need him. He wants the best for his patients. He does not make me feel that because I am elderly, I should give up. He educates me on living my best life in a healthy manner. My doctor is my hero.
