My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

All too often, present day medicine applies triage and treatment algorithms to patient care utilizing technology or non-physician providers. I learned long ago that this “one size fits all” philosophy is far from ideal. I try to personalize the health care I provide to my patients knowing that not everybody benefits from the same recommendations. I know how hard it is to live one’s healthiest life; many aspects of our present stressful lives can interfere. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my patients for more than what is listed on their problem list. I want to know my patients’ goals and aspirations. I want to know their family and look forward to the next office visit or house call to catch up. I am humbled by the number of times that modern medicine cannot offer a cure, however, a promise that I make to my patients is that “I will always strive to comfort you and your loved ones through any illness or pandemic that may arise”. I strive to have a meaningful relationship with my patients, not a series of cursory encounters. My patients often become my friends, and my friends often become my patients and I feel that is the way it should be.

About the Practice/Practice News

Telemedicine Option: I am also using telemedicine visits to stay connected with my patients when they are unable to see me in the office. It is easy to do, and we have maintained our momentum with preventive health goals and chronic care during difficult times.

I was dealing with the second of 2 DVT's and in constant pain and fear. Dr Loria was able to figure out a path forward that let me continue to work and thrive. I was afraid to travel for fear of getting another one. Frank's guidance and compassion made it possible for me to spend some amazing time cycling in Aspen this past summer. My husband and I only recently joined Dr. Franklin Loria's "family". We were thrilled to be accepted into his practice because we have known him and been aware of his excellence and positive reputation for decades as he has cared for my mother and my aunt for many years, both of them into their 90s. He has always been accessible, accommodating, sensitive, compassionate, and… See more
