About Gregory M. Crever, MD
As a family medicine doctor, I believe in the total person as a patient. I am an advocate for preventive medicine to help enhance good health. I believe that through proper diet, exercise and screening exams we can better predict and possibly avoid most illness before it gets serious. I have been active in athletics throughout my life and most recently competed in my first Ironman 70.3 Triathlon at age 56. I try to follow my own advice. My affiliation with MDVIP gives me time to get to know my patients better and to make plans for their health improvement. Patients will have access to the library of meal and exercise plans that MDVIP has to offer. We also focus on prevention and management of hypertension, heart disease and diabetes. The goal is to decrease medications.
I try to learn something new daily; I love to learn and teach. I have participated in teaching third year medical students since 2008 and enjoy teaching and learning from patients. In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, patients leave the appointment with a written plan of what to do to make improvements; this is what they call the "Yellow Sheet" or "Homework Assignment." Commonly, patients bring it to their next appointment with items checked off. Part of learning is investigation. With MDVIP I have the opportunity to offer a personalized service by having more time to get to know each patient and to find out about life events in order to help them achieve their health care goals. My MDVIP-affiliated practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, also offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments.
My office is located in Mid-Scottsdale, and serves patients from Phoenix, Cave Creek, Payson, Mesa, Tempe and Scottsdale. I currently follow patients admitted at the HonorHealth Shea campus. I speak English, Spanish and German.

He spends more time with listening to their concerns and questions. Plus, he shares their accomplishments and joy.
His staff is very personable and caring.
I should also compliment his staff--Sonia and Ken--very professional and very nice--…
Reviews from the web

The annual physical is really good and the detail of blood work is outstanding. The ability to get ahold of Dr Crever 24/7 is unheard of. Dr Crever has called me at 7:30 pm and we chatted for almost an hour. Never had a Dr do that before. His appts can last an hour if need be and when you leave his office, no stone has not been turned.
My wife, who doesn’t like to see Physicians, is now a patient and can’t believe how good everyone is there (Sonya and Ken) and they have changed her outlook on physician care. Response times are met with a sense of urgency and their follow through is thorough and complete.
It would be great to get free appts for writing this review, but when you find a gem, you like to pass along the great news so that others can benefit too. Kind of like paying it forward.

Having direct access to the doctor enabled me to place an emergency call on a weekend regarding a positive Covid test. I was promptly prescribed Paxlovid, which significantly aided in my recovery.

The response time or someone live being available is something that needs improvements.
His office staff can be argumentative when it is not necessary.
I feel that the office staff needs personal with more medical experience in the front office sector and understands the need to be more compassionate towards client needs.
Some of the staff seems to be new to the medical field and front office customer service. This is something I would not expect to find in a MDVIP office.

His staff is professional and easy to work with.
Why anyone would write a bad review on him is beyond me!

The woman on the phone told me the first available time is mid-June.....Really, I say. She says that because it's been over two years since I have been in, and I am now considered a "new" patient.
I really do not want to wait that long, and I told her that, but she basically said, "tough".
Just an FYI Greg, if your practice is such a booming enterprise that you can effectively turn a way old customers that quickly, maybe you should add a few Doc's to your staff and keep your old customers happy, or hire people that have your best interests at heart. Just saying.

Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
