About Karen C. Dantin, MD
I have always wanted my patients to feel as if they are visiting family or friends; not as a stranger in a clinical setting. A comfortable environment encourages exploring options – your own, or suggestions offered. Part of my job is assisting patients to recognize that exceptional health is a journey – initiated by genetics. The ultimate path is determined by lifestyle choices and daily habits. I feel privileged to aid patients on their journey. Coaching those truly vested in improving or maintaining heath is what I love to do.
My Civilian and Navy medical training, in what I call "traditional Western medicine,” has provided a solid base on which to add and expand both holistic and Western knowledge. I strive for a balance between the two, while working within the conditions of patients’ desires and actions to “be all you can be.” I have learned that treating symptoms without addressing the underlying causes is not the way to true healing. Seeking and resolving root imbalances is the goal - the road to success.
My new MDVIP-affiliated practice model is an amazing venue for patients to experience treatment the way that they truly deserve. It brings back the “family physician” concept of Marcus Welby, a friend you can trust and confide in. Over the last 30 years, my practice has evolved to both empower and encourage patients. Combine that strength with time and personalization and add the benefits of cutting edge medicine technology, what could be better?

Reviews from the web
If you’ve been seeing Dr Dantin for years and love the service you’ve been given…awesome. However if you’re new and looking for a doctor..this review is more for you.
October 2025
Approaching the office, the yard was very unkept and the building looked a bit rundown but I said “well you can’t judge a book by its cover”. Then you walk into the waiting area and CLUTTER CITY. They are trying to provide hospitality by offering snacks and coffee but it’s so cluttered it’s not inviting.
When I checked in patients files are stacked high (cluttered). I didn’t get the impression of a sterile environment. I saw dust and bugs. Not something I wanna see at my doctors office where I’m getting procedures done. This office sees less patients than the average physician sooooo there’s really no reason for this.
Also the ladies were wearing jeans and t shirts . “Must be casual Friday”, I thought to myself. Just wasn’t giving off professional vibes.
The goal was to sell me MDVIP although she will see to one issue you’re having. We spent an hour on the membership and maybe 5 minutes on my issue. Since the mdvip is so expensive she said she’ll see me for a second time without being enrolled.
However the story changed the next day. I thought maybe I heard something different so I asked my mom (who was at the appointment with me) and my mom heard the same words. I thought ok Dr Dantin didn’t relate the message to her team. After back and forth phone calls (at least 5) it was clear that Dantin refused to see me unless I joined MDVIP.
What a waste of time! She stressed like 5 times how they care about their patients….uhhh this doesn’t look like care when you give someone your word and then take it back.
Dr Dantin also cursed twice during my visit which just added to the non professional vibe I was feeling.
Someone who’s in the business of helping people, would have apologized or saw me the 2nd and then told me I would have to join on the third visit. Dr Dantin wasn’t even trying to make it right. It was just a NO. 🙄
The care I receive is above board and very genuine. I am treated as a friend and listened to with respect. The entire office staff works hard to partner with me to achieve my health goals and truly care about me.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude for everything that you have done for me for over 25 yrs. You and your staff always try to fit me into your busy schedule.
Thank you for helping me with my physical needs and to get healthy, and also your kind words when I lost my father, sister and my best friend who was like a sister to me for 40 yrs. Giving me a hug and encouragement to go on. You have been with me for many years helping me get through some tough times in my life. You gave me excellent medical care and I am honored to not just call you my doctor but my friend.
I also want to thank you and your excellent staff sending cards when I lost family members and birthday cards signed by everyone in the office.
You are a blessing to my life and I know you will always be here to help me in sickness and in sadness.
Sincerely,
Judy LaCava
Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
