About Krystine Swannick, MD
It was evident to my family that at a very young age I would grow up to become a physician. Growing up in New Jersey, channel 13’s PBS NOVA medical programs, thought to be too graphic for children, were my preference to cartoons even at an early age. As a child I had many hobbies such as violin, piano, ballroom and ethnic folk dancing, but nothing kept my interest like exploring what makes the human body tick. Anatomy books, models of the different organ systems to assemble and a doctor’s bag filled with professional gadgets were my desires, next to the entertainment Ken, Barbie, and the family dog provided me as patients. Around my ninth birthday, my parents thought they had outsmarted and thwarted their daughter with buying the unabridged version of Gray’s Anatomy. Little did they know that this was just the beginning.
In my late teens and early twenties, my father became ill with severe hypertension and kidney failure, resulting in the need for dialysis and eventual kidney transplantation. My calling was louder than ever. I closely shadowed local physicians while in high school and college and later was accepted into a 7 year accelerated college-medical school program between Rutgers University and UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. I was on my way to care for patients and their family members during their time of health crisis.
I am board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. I really cannot imagine working in another field, despite all the challenges of practicing in the newer era of the American healthcare system. However, work life balance is important and when I am not wearing my white coat, I am a proud wife and mom.
I came to work with my partner, Dr. Merit Gadallah, in Naples, Florida in 2011. Come experience the advantage of our experience. Our passion continues to be patient advocacy and providing the highest level of clinical acumen and knowledge in a compassionate and friendly setting. We really understand and recognize the need for proactive, preventive care in thwarting disease and illness. In the ever-changing environment of healthcare, our MDVIP-affiliated practice will continue to ensure that our patients receive the personalized and careful attention to detail they deserve.

Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
