My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

It was evident to my family that at a very young age I would grow up to become a physician. Growing up in New Jersey, channel 13’s PBS NOVA medical programs, thought to be too graphic for children, were my preference to cartoons even at an early age. As a child I had many hobbies such as violin, piano, ballroom and ethnic folk dancing, but nothing kept my interest like exploring what makes the human body tick. Anatomy books, models of the different organ systems to assemble and a doctor’s bag filled with professional gadgets were my desires, next to the entertainment Ken, Barbie, and the family dog provided me as patients. Around my ninth birthday, my parents thought they had outsmarted and thwarted their daughter with buying the unabridged version of Gray’s Anatomy. Little did they know that this was just the beginning.

In my late teens and early twenties, my father became ill with severe hypertension and kidney failure, resulting in the need for dialysis and eventual kidney transplantation. My calling was louder than ever. I closely shadowed local physicians while in high school and college and later was accepted into a 7 year accelerated college-medical school program between Rutgers University and UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. I was on my way to care for patients and their family members during their time of health crisis.

I am board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. I really cannot imagine working in another field, despite all the challenges of practicing in the newer era of the American healthcare system. However, work life balance is important and when I am not wearing my white coat, I am a proud wife and mom.

I came to work with my partner, Dr. Merit Gadallah, in Naples, Florida in 2011. Come experience the advantage of our experience. Our passion continues to be patient advocacy and providing the highest level of clinical acumen and knowledge in a compassionate and friendly setting. We really understand and recognize the need for proactive, preventive care in thwarting disease and illness. In the ever-changing environment of healthcare, our MDVIP-affiliated practice will continue to ensure that our patients receive the personalized and careful attention to detail they deserve.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Swannick

Doctor Swannick helped me with my balance issues by teaching me that acceptance of old age requires a positive attitude and work. Chasing miracles is not the best way to handle getting older.

I really feel like an actual VIP with Dr. Swannick, I only wish i found her earlier. After moving to the Naples area in 2016 from Metro Baltimore, I had been treating with a number of Doctors at John's Hopkins for chronic illnesses before I found Dr. Swannick in Naples, FL. Dr. Swannick made missed diagnosis by taking the time and patience to LISTEN TO… See more

I had a family doctor for years. The only time I could see her was once a year. If you were sick you were told to go to the Walk in Clinic. I could never see my doctor when I was sick. I had a couple of complications because of this and found myself at the Walk in Clinic and then the ER two days in a row because they didn’t know my history and “changed” meds because they thought I had a new “… See more

I was having back pain for a while. I thought it would pass, but the pain became excruciating as the day went on. This pain became unbearable. As part of our MDVIP membership, Dr Swannick provided us with a 24/7 contact number. I called her and she responded immediately! She advised me to call 911 and go to the hospital which was the best advice.

from Sandy in FL March 10, 2020 for Krystine Swannick, MD

Dr. Swannick is the first and only doctor in Naples that after 10 years I totally trust. I have been in her care for about 7 years. She more than cares and I am a person not just a patient or number. I never feel rushed with her and also important she or her nurse never have a computer with them so I do not have to see the back of their heads as with so many doctors nowadays. I want a doctor… See more

from Robert in FL February 27, 2018 for Krystine Swannick, MD

I am afraid that my command of the English language is seriously inadequate to describe what Dr. Swannick has meant to me in the three and one-half years I have been in her most wonderful care.
However, that being said I will venture on the best I can. When I met Dr. Swannick for the first time my life was remarkably different then the present. Medically I was in very bad shape… See more
