Laura Oppenheim, MD

Dr. Oppenheim has followed me for years. I have a number of medical issues and look upon her as the captain of my ship. She coordinates my care and always guides me in the right direction. I trust her implicitly! The one moment that I remember most occurred approximately 15 months ago when I was hospitalized. My hospital team was divided on its recommendations for surgery. Dr. Oppenheim followed my care and was in contact with me throughout my hospital stay. She also assisted me in making decisions when my hospital team was divided on their recommendations. She spoke with my husband and me via telephone and really helped us decide on the best treatment plan. She is very smart, caring, responsive, and always refers me to excellent physicians when needed. I could not think of a better primary care physician. I certainly hit the jackpot when I chose Dr. Oppenheim as my physician. She is THE BEST.

Some years ago, when I was having relationship problems , Dr Oppenheim took the time and had the interest to sit with me , listen to me, talk to me and try to help. It was much appreciated. It displayed a level of concern that told me I wasn’t just a bunch of medical problems to be solved but a real whole person. 

I do not have a specific milestone but my story is simply about my doctor's ongoing support. I was a patient of Dr. Laura Oppenheim before she became a VIP Doctor, but because of the care that I received, I decided to stay with her. Wether it is an annual exam or followup appointment, Dr. Oppenheim handles each appointment with equal importance. She took the time and got to know me and my habits as a retired educator. She is proactive in my care, always discussing ways to maintain good health through well visits and through excellent communication! I feel her genuine concern through followup texts or portal e-mails. Her dedication continues to make me feel well cared for. I am so glad I am in her care.

I have worked with Dr, Oppenheim since before she began her MDVIP practice and it was important for me to continue the relationship. She is the best primary care physician I have ever worked with. She is warm and caring but professional and appropriately boundaried. She is responsive and easy to reach. She coordinates extremely well with other providers. I have recommended her to others but her practice is full!!!! Others in my family still use her. Our circumstances are unusual as we move between Arizona, Philadelphia and NY. We do our physicals in Philadelphia but she has helped us find services in NYC as needed and spoken to us when out of the Philly area when we have had questions or concerns. In short, she is incredible!!!!
