About Melissa Torres, DO

My passion is health promotion and disease prevention. My goal is to help you feel healthier and more radiant. As an osteopathic primary care physician, I have made it my life’s work to identify methods that focus on disease prevention, rather than mitigation of symptoms which can help improve patient outcomes. I have completed a specialization in integrative medicine and have taken courses in functional medicine, furthering my experience in health promotion. I am dual-board certiﬁed in both family and obesity medicine, arming me with the knowledge to identify markers of obesity and inﬂammation and help treat them by advising lifestyle changes, medication or both. As your personal doctor, we can work together to formulate a plan that can help you as you work to achieve your goals and address disease when needed.

My MDVIP- afﬁliated practice offers services including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. I also offer same-day or next-day appointments so I can see you when you need me. In the event that you cannot make it to the ofﬁce, I have telehealth appointments available for your convenience and can see patients while they are located in Florida, Michigan, California or New York.

Upon entering my MDVIP-afﬁliated multilingual practice, you will be greeted in a warm, inviting atmosphere where you will be treated as part of our family. My primary care location is in Palm Harbor, Florida, serving that area, as well as the greater Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg area. . I focus on integrative health and preventive care in addition to family and obesity medicine.
