My appreciation for Dr. Robert DiMasi, Jr. , is extremely high. He is always concerned about my health. He has made telephone calls to me on weekends, making sure my medication is up to date and that I am feeling fine. It is hard to locate someone who actually cares, but Dr. DiMasi Jr. is the best.

Dr. DiMasi is truly remarkable, and I'll tell you why.
Historically, I have sought out a DO for a PCP, because in my experience their training focuses more on holistic health versus treating symptoms. It took me a about a year to find Dr. DiMasi after my family and I relocated to Tampa in 2017, and ever since I have had the privilege of being one of his patients.

Md Damasi is a great guy. He is very professional and patient. Unfortunately, He cowers down to a front end office and mid level practitioner (Kyle) that run everything poorly.
Adela will rudely answer calls, she will leave you on hold endlessly or not call you back for days at a time. She gets overwhelmed very easily. Her inability to multitask shows itself in unprofessionalism. If you say anything she will go around the office saying you were rude or “threatening”.
The only threat I ever made was that I would have to go to the board about some of the business practices of the office. (That’s when they called me back coincidentally) This was the last thing I wanted to do because that can be damaging to a Physician practice. However, bad business can lead to bad healthcare. This office is an example of that.
If you have an appointment, expect to wait at least an hour to get back to a room. Since the front end is so inept at managing an office they “have” to charge you extra money that they tout as a customer service type offering or program. For a significant amount of money you get “extra” time to talk to the physican or his terrible midlevel provider. GET THIS … they charge you up front for it and it’s not voluntary !!!
I am sorry I have to be the one to point this out but talking to your patient is a fundamental part of a primary assessment 😬
As a healthcare provider myself I find this absolutely shocking. I have to question if the next step will be charging for individual vital signs. Perhaps 20 dollars for a blood pressure check or 3 dollars for them to take your temperature ? You might as well further cheapen your reputation and just offer a value menu. The word that comes to mind is cringe.
It’s tragic if it’s actually legal.
I cannot imagine insurance companies are okay with it but who knows. I do know that it cheapens the Doctor/ Patient relationship and it’s sad.
If MD Damasi held his ancillary staff accountable to basic customer service or even the lowest of business standards I would not leave this review.
I am sorry to say unless you want to be overcharged for subpar service and wait shockingly long times to see a Physician…. Stay away

Finding a new primary care physician can be a daunting task, especially if you had to do it after your old doctor retired. However, with the help of MDVIP, I was able to find a physician who truly cares about his patients. Dr. Robert DiMasi Jr. is a compassionate and experienced doctor who takes the time to listen to his patients and provide them with personalized care. Great doctor till he joined MD VIP. Left me out in the cold with my high BP issue. MD VIP wants over $2000 a year (that I can't afford) to become a member so you can see your doctor maybe once a year. (If I'm understanding it right) I was a patient before he joined this third party and I shouldn't have been effected. Now I have to find a new doctor. I can't be the only patient negatively affected by his decision to join this group.

I began seeing Dr DiMasi approximately 2 years ago for hormone replacement. He explained everything in detail before we began, and customized the treatment specifically for me. I also went to Dr DiMasi for a safe and effective weight loss plan. He went into great detail pertaining to goals, portion sizes and fitness. I successfully lost 25 lbs.!!!Dr DiMasi and his staff are always very accommodating and professional.

Kyle Maldonado took her time with me as a new patient and explained my
Lab results from even years ago that my previous provider failed to do. She’s knowledgeable and caring!
Katie was fantastic and put me at ease when taking my vitals which eased me into a new situation.

Dr. DiMasi is excellent. Always finds a way to explain things that are super easy to digest, I have been going there for 3 years and he has been spot on in every diagnostic. He goes above and beyond to make you feel better and his staff is extremely nice.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. DiMasi for the past 8 years. He is the best around! Dr. DiMasi takes his time to listen and has incredible knowledge with any type of ailment or medical condition we have presented him with. His bedside manners are amazing and we feel like part of a big family. His staff is wonderful too! A special shout out to Kyle Maldonado, PA. She is just as caring, considerate, and knowledgeable as he is and a perfect compliment to his practice. We truly appreciate each and everyone of you!

I went to this doctor for weight loss, I was recommended by a friend. Over the past four months I lost 41 pounds! It works! Very simple to follow, the medication he puts me on literally make me not hungry. My husband, daughter and sister In-law are astonished by the results and will be next! I started at 192 and four months later I’m down to 151. Very super easy way to lose weight. Yes, this office can be difficult to reach due to their phone system but the staff is super friendly and extremely accommodating. If you want to lose weight, I certainly recommend! You can’t argue with results :-) I am finally fitting into my old clothes!

A 2 hour or so wait is not abnormal here and it should be. Unfortunately we all work and since appointments are scheduled, it seems absurd that they cannot coordinate better. Just highly unprofessional with no explanation as to why, especially with a nearly empty waiting room.
