About Sevie Pimentel, MD
My goal as your private doctor is to partner with you to create a personalized healthcare plan to better treat your current health problems and help prevent new ones. I will work with you at each step to assist you with making informed decisions toward achieving your goals – whether it’s running your first marathon, improving your nutrition or reducing the use of medications. There are no short cuts to being healthy and no simple formulas or “one-size-fits-all” approaches when it comes to the well-being of my patients. My primary care practice provides care that can help make a happy, healthy future your reality. I also offer conveniences, like same- or next-day appointments that start on time, which may be found in concierge medicine practices.
With over 15 years of practicing in the community, I have relationships with many specialists. I also have admitting privileges at Methodist West Hospital and will assist with your care should you need to be admitted to the hospital.
My practice currently serves Katy and the surrounding areas of Richmond, Sealy, Cypress and West Houston. I am fluent in three languages: English, Portuguese and Spanish.

My family has been under Dr. Pimentel care for many years prior to the MDVIP program. He was already a very attentive and caring doctor, which made us continue with him under the new program. Dr. Pimentel is very knowledgeable and spends the time it takes to understand my health concerns and address any questions I might have. He always checks progress including prescriptions and care recommendations such as testing and physical therapy prescriptions of referral specialists.

I was looking for a PCP for my family today and got this number. You need to pay $1000 membership to be seen by this doctor and be part of the VIP care. Medical care should be VIP for everyone!!! Tsk tsk. A talent given to this man and it’s just for the rich.

My husband and I both are very satisfied with Dr P and his staff. He has been our doctor for a long time so our visits are like going to visit a good friend. He gives the best advise and is always looking out for us making sure we have the right medicines, care and letting us know if there is anything new that would benefit us. He’s the best!!!

Absolutely the best experience I’ve had with a primary care physician. Dr. Pimentel is constantly up-to-date on the latest studies and treatments. He takes time with his patients to explain not just what’s going on today, but what things you can be doing to ensure long-term health. Every time I visit, he spends a significant amount of time with me (usually at least an hour, sometimes much longer). When compared with the medical community at large, where it feels like you are just another number to them, that they quickly get you out the door so they can process the next patient, my experience has been SO refreshing.
Is concierge medicine pricier than the standard clinic? Yes it is. But after every visit, I tell my wife that this is the best money that we spend. It is very hard to put a price on your own health, or the health of your family.

Dr. Pimentel is hands down the most thorough, friendliest and knowledgeable family doctor one can ever hope for. He has cared for my family for over 20 years plus from kids to elderly. Every time my father was in the hospital for heart surgery or any serious complication, Dr. Pimentel would take the time to visit and see how he was doing. He’s not those “15 minute in and out wow did I really miss work and pay this amount for a doctor who only wants to address one thing”. He will diagnose you, give you options and answer ANY questions you may have. So patient and personable. Worth paying for good health service.

Dr Pimentel takes the time to explain what is happening to me with the aging process; such as the increased joint and soft tissue inflammation. And he is concerned with weight gain as it is related to decreased mobility and increased glucose intolerance. He keeps me aware of what is necessary for good cardiovascular and joint health.

Dr Pimentel is the best doctor I ever had! He has seen me and my entire family for the.last 15 years, and always deliver an upstanding and compassionate service; he always take his time to talk to you and explaining everything until you understand the diagnosis, but not only that, he give you options. he "Never" send me or my family to do any test that we don't need, and he show up to the hospital to see us when we happen to be hospitalized for an emergency; this is something that you don't see often in this days: Go the Extra mile! I work hard for my money, but for our health it is worth it! Some people don't get it, it is about "Priorities" and if you ask me, it is nothing more important that my family and my own well-being!. I have seen Dr Pimentel for about 15 years. There are no words to describe his level or care and compassion for his patients. He has seen all my family and detected my moms breast cancer before anyone else. He has personally spent hours with me

I literally went into a depression because I felt like I lost the best Dr in the world and I did because after several other Dr's I have gone to I'm going to save my money and go back to him. Please don't let other reviews steer you away from him. So I hope to come back soon! If you want a wonderful Dr he is the one!

My whole family used Dr. Pimentel for almost 20 years, now we have to look for a new family physician since his office wants to charge an extra fee to be your doctor. I already pay enough for health insurance and will not pay an extra fee.

He is a joke he wants his patients to pay extra 1600 for VIP service, which is his phone number! He wants to have his on health insurance!!! Get real!! You must be out of your mind to go to this doctor!!! Whoever posted the first review is certainly from his family, no one in his senses would ever do that! They also mailed me medical bills and when I called my health plan they called his clinic and right after my health plan said they could never have charged me, as the health plan had already covered and paid for all!!! How about that huh?!?!?!?

You get what you pay for. I don't think it is fair to bash the doctor because you don't want to pay for concierge care. Yes, it is 1600/year on top of your copays. However, you can get same day appointments, his PERSONAL cell phone for after-hours help (priceless by the way for people with a job or kids), and long appointments. You can't get that level of attention without paying the price. It also includes your children so if you have 2 or more kids who get sick all the time and you can't get into the doctor, having a concierge physician could be a game-changer for your family. On top of all of that attention/service, the guy is really nice and relatable, too. The panel is filling up fast and last I heard, it was about to close. Your health and your children's health is priceless.

Now to be patient of Dr. Pimental is not enough you have medical insurance, now have to pay an extra fee (God knows for what, because I don't know), of $400 each person every 3 months! This is a complete nonsense, here in the USA is the craziest thing I've ever seen in my life, obviously I will find other primary doctor. Even if someone know a, I'm accepting suggestions.

Very disorganized place! I scheduled an appointment , drove 40 minuts and when I arrived the secretary said that there was no appointment in this day. I asked her to fix because I was sure ( today is my father birthday- I would not have doubt) it and she did not try! I tried to argue saying that she could hear the call recorder because I was sure about my appointment date and time and she just said: I am sorry! I can not do anything! It was the worst experience that I had as a customer!
