About Tobin Fisher, MD
One of the biggest critiques I have of modern medicine is that despite the awe‐inspiring breakthroughs we achieve on a daily basis, the human being often gets forgotten. My goal as your private doctor is to get to know the whole you so I can help you live your best life rather than simply addressing issues as they come along.
As one of the few family medicine doctors in Huntsville offering this personalized healthcare approach, I am committed to serving my patients and working together to help them achieve their personal goals. My MDVIP-affiliated practice also offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices.
My practice is located in Huntsville, Alabama, and serves patients from Athens, Gurley, Harvest, Huntsville, Laceys Spring, Madison, Meridianville, New Market, Owens Cross Roads and Tennessee. In addition to being a primary care physician, I am also a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and a certified specialist in clinical hypertension. My practice focuses on heart health and preventive care in addition to all aspects of primary care, and I am affiliated with Huntsville Hospital and Crestwood Hospital.

Dr. Fisher has truly helped me turn my life around. He has helped me get back to sleeping better, functioning more clearly, and feeling like myself again.
Dr. Fisher is by far the best doctor I’ve seen and I’ve been under the care of various doctors, since childhood. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, well-educated, and genuinely caring. He listens closely and works with me to find the right treatment. He’s attentive and thoughtful about medications and always makes sure I’m comfortable with the plan before moving forward.
One of the things I really appreciate is how Dr. Fisher offers simple, insightful advice. When I explain how I’m feeling or what I’m struggling with, he helps me see things more clearly with straightforward recommendations and sometimes simple life advice. Dr. Fisher and his staff are wonderful. His office has such a nice relaxing environment that provides you with a feeling of calm and not clinical. The nurses and staff listen carefully to what you have to say and I never feel rushed when with the doctor. He has a wealth of knowledge in many areas and always makes me feel more at ease for my appointments. Highly recommend his practice to anyone looking for a great doctor!

Very knowledgeable and practice is well run. Always get plenty of information about and around the diagnosis or meds. The ability to get access efficient re questions has been very good. Dr Fisher is a great doc and reflects well on the medical profession. The MDVIP practice style allows more individualized care vs 'what insure allows'. Much more focus on preventive and looking down the road vice reactive. Thx Dr Fisher!

Dr. Fisher has served as my primary care physician for over a year and has taken an active role in helping me to create a personalized health plan with an emphasis on preventative care. The quick response times he and his staff members provide in an emergency are excellent and it is always easy to schedule appointments as necessary.

I would give Dr. Fisher and his staff a 10 star if I could. I have been going to Dr. Fisher 5 years and I’m so glad I choose him for my primary doctor. He spends time to explain in detail any issues I may have. I never feel I’m rushed in and out Dr. Fisher always responds very quickly to any emails regarding prescription refills and any questions.His Nurse Tracy is the best when it comes to blood draws and shots. All his staff is so friendly..I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great physician.

I don't like needles, I don't like shots. This was the best vaccination experience I've had, they were quick and precise, professional and kind.

Dr.Fisher is very kind compassionate and professional. He is very straight foward and talks to you like a person not just another patient. I'm thankful to have him taking care of me. His staff are also very kind and punctual. Typically can get same day apts if necessary and recieve emails back within minutes most of the time. If you have chronic health problems I would highly reccomend this practice. They have been life changing for me.

Dr. Fisher and his staff are kind, helpful, accessible and prompt. When I visit Dr Fisher I NEVER feel that he is rushed; he takes as much time as necessary to go over test results and discuss whatever is needed. Dr. Fisher is a wonderful balance of super-smart and super nice.

Dr. Fisher is easy to set an appointment with and I can get in to see him very quickly and on time. Dr. Fisher explains things in a way I can understand my issues and shows patience and pragmatism in the way he communicates. He communicates very well and in a manner that I can understand well. Always liked and respected Dr. Fisher. When he switched to the MDVIP program we couldn't afford the $1,500 per year fee simply for the "privilege" of having him treat us.
However I recently discovered something which caused me to lose some respect for Dr. Fisher. He once had me on a medication which worked great to treat my issue. One visit he let me know "I'm going to prescribe something different".
I asked, "why? What I am taking works great!"
He told me that they had quit making the other medicine. Te new medicine was only about 50% as effective as treating my condition as the the medicine he took away.
That was years ago, and being that I respected and trusted him I didnt even bother to seek to find if it was true or not. My wife is recently faced a similar health issue and lo and behold our new doctor prescribed her the exact same medicine that Dr. Fisher had taken me off of, which he had said was because they no longer made it.
Her condition didn't persist as mine did, so she had some of the medicine left and I decided to take for it for a few days, and it still worked better than anything else I had used, so I had our current DR. prescribe it instead.
I was floored to learn that he had taken me off of a medicine that worked and was still available in order to prescribe something less effective, and the only reason I can conclude that Fisher lied to me is that he must have been getting a stipend from the manufacturer for prescribing me the medicine he changed me too, so obviously the concern for his bank account balance was of more value to him than was my health!!!

I don't think I could find a better doctor than Dr. Fisher. When I have an appointment, he goes over my test results, and we discuss any readings that are not in the recommended limits. I have called him on his personal phone and he always answers my call, even when he is out of his office. I cannot imagine a reason why I would leave being a member of his practice.

Dr. Fisher has changed my life. I finally have a doctor who actually has common sense and listens to what I have to say before making his suggestions. He has made changes in my medications that have improved my life immensely. He even helped out my adult daughter when she was in between doctors. Dr. Fisher is awesome. Also, his dedicated Nurse Tracy is comforting, funny, smart and really good at her job. Between the two of them, I couldn't ask for better care!

Dr. Fisher is an excellent Doctor. The main ability that I like is that he listens to me and doesn’t dismiss what I have to say about my health and treatments. He is very knowledgeable and will refer to the best doctors when necessary. He has helped me find a diagnosis to my autoimmune disease that otherwise would remain unknown. He has common sense and does not lecture when he knows you are unreceptive to his recommendations.
