I recently underwent a multiple level cervical spine fusion after experiencing severe debilitating pain in my neck and down both arms. My family doctor ( Dr Marcia Kling) promptly recommended a spine surgeon who was very approachable and after only a couple of weeks of tests and scans he performed surgery at Troy Beaumont ( Corewell). Dr Kling ( my MDVIP physician) visited me in hospital every day both before and after the surgery. She coordinated with the surgeon and his team and made me feel like I was her only patient despite the fact that I know she has hundreds of patients to whom she gives the same excellent care and attention. Not only does Dr Kling provide exceptional service and medical support but she also only refers her patients to specialists who are themselves excellent doctors. My recovery has been very good and Dr Kling has been an integral part of that success. She is one of only a few doctors who visit their patients in hospital and she is always attentive despite what for her must be a very busy schedule. I am very grateful to have Marcia Kling as my doctor. She spots problems quickly and responds with caring, talented, effective treatment. If there’s a doctor of the year award she should get it hands down!

Meet Marcia E. Kling, MD

Since beginning practicing primary care medicine over 25 years ago, I have chosen to stay and serve in my hometown of Shelby Township, Michigan, along with the surrounding areas of Rochester, Utica, Sterling Heights, Macomb and Washington.

I went to medical school to become a healer, not just a doctor. To me, a healer focuses on the entire patient: mind, body and soul. In most of today’s traditional primary care practices, I believe this is hard to find. My mission is to provide more personalized care and offer patients more time to discuss their concerns. The MDVIP model helps me better fulfill my goals as a physician and focus more on wellness and prevention. I have additional time to speak with specialists and be a partner to my patients. And I’m reachable after hours and on weekends for more urgent needs. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices.

My beliefs are simple: God, country, family. I believe my faith and my love for my fellow man is best expressed as a physician and healer. I am truly fortunate to do what I love, and I am thankful for the opportunity to provide a more individualized healthcare experience. My staff and I look forward to welcoming you as part of our extended family.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
