Matt joined MDVIP in 2016 as the company’s Controller and has continuously expanded his role and scope of responsibilities. Amongst other areas, Matt oversees all aspects of the company’s finances and HR functions and helps to support our national network of MDVIP affiliated physicians and patients. Prior to MDVIP, Matt served as the Controller for Charter Schools USA, a for-profit charter school management company located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He also served as an Audit Manager for a regional public accounting firm specializing in Audit and Tax Services for community and de novo banks. “I believe that an individual’s largest source of wealth is their health,” Matt says. “Time and health are two precious assets that we don’t typically recognize and appreciate until they have been exhausted. Through our affiliated physicians, we strive to enhance the health of every patient we see by not only treating current conditions, but more importantly, fostering an emphasis on preventive care." "We believe time is a key factor in accomplishing this – time for the doctor to study a patient’s medical history, time for the patient to thoroughly discuss any concerns or ask questions, and time to implement an appropriate plan of care.” Matt also believes in developing this same mentality while at work. In lieu of stationary meetings typical of an office environment, he often initiates outside ‘walking meetings’ with fellow employees and also organizes department walks during the day, believing that a healthier employee is a happier one. Matt is a licensed CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Business Management and a Masters of Accounting, both from Florida Atlantic University. Matt leads a very eventful life with his wife and three young boys. When he is not spending his free time with his family, Matt enjoys playing basketball and guitar.
