My husband is experiencing non specific yet serious symptoms and illness. Its just not cut and dry. No local specialists wanted to dig in to find the cause of his illness. So, as a wife, I have spent 2 months studying the brightest, advanced, out of the box medical innovators on youtube.
I now hold a double doctorate from youtube university. (lol)
The 5 local medical folks dismissed my findings. (Ya know, the woman who spends every day with her spouse and witnesses the abrupt changes and his decline)
The local medical folks appeared aggravated with my findings and my intrigue. I could prove my husband had an incorrect diagnosis 2 months prior.
So Fast forward to our meet and greet with Dr. Chavez last week. I told him about my research, and surprisingly…….
he didn't dismiss my opinions and findings; and he understood my research efforts were exhaustingly performed, because I love my husband, and he's suffering.
And we had no answers.
Dr. Chavez appreciated all my ideas and the test results I provided. He is humble. He is exceptionally sharp.
We Texans call it whip-smart.
He even chuckled when I told him my ivy league university professors at (youtube U) had instructed me on all I know.
We researchers are a dread to most medical professionals. My own mother was a Life Flight Director and a surgical RN for 30 years. A brilliant nurse that saved hundreds of lives. I grew up at the hospital. She schooled me too,
but She didn't care for us research types!
With that being said, I am confident Dr. Chavez will not stop until he mines to the root cause of my husbands illness.

Dr Chavez gives you his full attention. Listens closely to what you have to say and will discuss options for your health care in great detail. Always easy to reach him or his staff when you have additional questions and concerns.

Dr Chavez listened to my concerns. He gave me a solution that could help naturally, before jumping on medications. I'm thankful he has the time.

Dr. Chavez is always there to spend the time you need at each visit. Very through with covering all of my heath needs. If I need to go to a specialist his office is great at setting up the appointments. One of the best doctors I have ever had.

Relaxed discussion covered all related topics. He was very knowledgeable and thorough.

Dr. Chavez was my doctor before he went into the V.I.P. program. I am so happy that he is my primary care provider again. If I need anything all I have to do is call his office and it's taken care of. Amber, Francis and Jennifer are great.

Dr. Chavez has gone above and beyond what ANY Doctor has for me. I have A LOT of health issues and he, Amber and Frances have always treated me like family. They found all the specialists I needed for my triple by pass heart surgery (and for other surgeries) and they were all wonderful. It makes my heart and mind feel at ease knowing I am in his care.
I am now going through Breast Cancer and he has referred all my care team at Texas Oncology and Texas Breast Specialists. They are great.

Selected Pompeyo Chavez as my BCBS Health Select doctor and called for appointment (don't leave a message, they do not return calls). I was told he's an M.D.V.I.P. doctor, meaning they expect you pay a special yearly fee to see him. I asked if I could switch to their other doctor, Larry Vocal and was told I could, but there is a 90 day wait for new patients. Unprofessional conduct with a complete lack of service, Even if I did get an appointment, I bet it would only be with his PA.

The staff are awesome. I appreciate it when a doctor comes in the room, listens to your problem/issue, and then begins the diagnosis. The visits never feel rushed.

I think I can safely say that Dr. Chavez saved my life. Coming off of a second bout with Covid, my wife and I decided to get established with a GP. Dr. Chavez’s practice is extremely thorough and he pays a great deal of attention to each of his patients. He detected several issues that I had which were about to become life-threatening. He guided me through the process of referrals and getting specialized treatment, and has been outstanding to work with the entire time. A very caring physician with a great personality. Always accessible and available. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Pompeyo Chavez is the real deal. He cares about my family's health on a preventative level. Also, he spends plenty of time with us during our appointments. You won't feel like you're being hurriedly herded toward the billing desk.

The employees are very helpful and caring, and they always clear up any questions I throw their way.

I love the idea of being able to spend more time with my doctor discussing my medical issues. Dr. Chavez is very professional, sensitive and understanding doctor. Doc Chavez and his staff and his staff are the best. Being a member of the MDVIP makes life much easier for older folks whom need to see doctors on a more regular basis. He immediately came to the rescue the the one time that I needed him on the weekend and saved me a trip to the ER. I highly recommend Doctor Chavez and his staff.

My experience with Dr. Chavez has been very helpful. Dr. Chavez really listens to my concerns and has been very helpful finding answers to my questions.

I really enjoy my annual reviews with Dr. Chavez. He covers the information from my clinical testing and then the results of Cleveland Clinic's testing of my blood. He is excellent at explaining what the numbers that are out of normal parameters mean and how I can, or if I can, get them back to normal. Dr. Chavez looks at the whole person and helps us to obtain the best that we can do for ourselves with his help. He takes time at the of the visit to ensure I have had my questions answered and feel good about the plan for the future.

This MDVIP program and Dr. Chavez are the best thing since sliced bread. Appointments are easy to get either same day or next day. When you arrive at the office it takes only a couple of minutes to get you signed in and within a couple more they have you in to do vitals. Dr. Chavez is usually in shortly after that. He will spend as much time as you need to discuss your situation with you. No longer are you limited to just 10 minutes to discuss issues. You can also address multiple issues in the same visit. I have been to other doctors that you could only address one issue at a time while in their office. That is the best service you can get in a doctor's office.

Heck if I know why, but for some reason, I began having trouble with hives... I tried to deal with it with over the counter creams and ointments... but late one morning, it went wild and so did I. I called the office and told them I wanted to itch my skin off and if they couldn't make it stop there was no telling what I'd be driven to do. They got me in immediately. Dr. Pompeyo prescribed his own "recipe" of layered medication, oral and topical. I will admit, I was skeptical, but I followed his protocol and by that evening was worlds better. Bravo, Dr. Pompeyo
