My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

Times are always changing, but through all phases of life, your health is of utmost importance.

You deserve personal, compassionate care now more than ever, and I have built a career based on the knowledge that wellness is a balance of mind, body and spirit. The VIP in my MDVIP-affiliated practice embodies this, as for me it represents Value In Prevention as well as Vitally Important Patients. I will work with you as a partner in your wellness, helping address the distinct needs of women in a patient-centered atmosphere. With 30 years of experience as a physician and two board certifications, I am uniquely positioned to walk with you on your journey towards achieving a comprehensive, happy, long, health span.

I have specialized in women’s healthcare for over 30 years in the Augusta and Aiken areas and was an early advocate of telemedicine in the region. The author of two books, A Woman’s Guide to Hormone Health and Healthy Habits for a Fit Family, my approach to women’s health focuses on wellness, weight management, hormone issues, menopause, holistic/integrative care and fitness. As a board-certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, extensive training has equipped me to deliver a spectrum of prevention services including weight loss, nutrition, immune enhancement, sexual health, mood and emotional issues and postmenopausal wellness. Similar to conveniences often associated with concierge medicine practices, I also offer same- or next-day appointments that start on time.

I practice what I preach and have completed over 100 marathons/half marathons and encourage my patients to adopt a healthy lifestyle by doing what they enjoy. I understand that personal care means listening to your needs, taking time to address those concerns and providing individualized solutions. In the midst of a changing healthcare environment, one thing always remains: you deserve personalized care where I can be your advocate - knowing you, your family and your needs and helping you find your individual path to wellness.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Eaker

from Petra in GA March 11, 2024 for Ron Eaker, MD, FACOG, ABOM

I have been a long time patient of Dr Eaker even before MDVip. I always felt valued as Dr Eaker’s patient and NEVER waited more than a few minutes to be seen. Now as his MDVIP patient I sit down with Dr Eaker to discuss my health issues in detail with recommendations and advice. He has been available in a previous emergency (chest pain) and gave me advice and steps to follow. Just knowing I… See more

I’m a fairly new patient of Dr. Eaker. (Not quite 2 yrs). Probably what stands out to me first, that really caught me by surprise, was when he called me from the airport about to leave the country to give me MRI results. That never would’ve happened prior to being his patient.
Second, his willingness to treat or at least attempt to treat symptoms before referring me to a specialist was… See more

I am very pleased to have joined the program. Dr Eaker explained the program and I decided join. No mistake in joining. Dr Eaker has guided me concerning the right program for me. The test they perform have been the most rewarding. Dr Eaker and his staff have been great. Appreciative of all support.

Dr. Eaker is so kind and caring. I have seen him for several years. Takes the time to listen and doesn't make you feel rushed! Absolutely amazing clinician!

from Rebeccah in GA February 11, 2024 for Ron Eaker, MD, FACOG, ABOM

After delivering my daughter in 1991, Dr. Eaker actually thanked us for letting him be a part of the delivery, and has been caring for me and many family members ever since. In 2023, as my Mom's physician, he compassionately cared for her in her final illness. 3 generations of our family have been blessed to have him as our doctor; I am very grateful the personalized care he… See more

At nearly 60, I've had my share of various doctors. A friend suggested Dr. Eaker to me as we were both going through some similar issues post-menopause. Dr. Eaker has a calming way about him and sits and listens without making you feel like he is in a hurry. He is the first doctor I've had that I feel like I could ask ANY question and he'll address it. He is available 100%… See more

Dr. Eaker is the best doctor. I would never have done MDVIP if not for him. Even though he was an obstetrician before this, and he delivered my two babies, I had the confidence in his smarts that he could be my primary doctor. He’s a marathon runner and I’m a triathlete, so he gets me. When I got shingles, I guessed, didn’t know, he snapped into action, saw me the day I called, and had me… See more

I am so happy to have Dr. Eaker as my Primary doctor again. He is very patient and kind, listens to all of my concerns, and provides the best counsel. Through his weight loss program, I have been able to lose 25 pounds so far, hopefully with more to come. Because of the bloodwork and screenings that he does, he has probably saved my life! I appreciate him and his practice and would recommend… See more
