Andrea K. Weed, DO, FACOI

I have had a number of health concerns the last few years and Dr. Weed has been there for me. When she became an MDVIP -affiliated doctor, my husband urged me to find another doctor because of the additional yearly fee, but I had been with Dr. Weed for over twenty years and was reluctant to change. Am I glad I stayed! She has phoned me when I have had concerns and has answered all of my questions in a detailed and professional manner. At yearly exam reviews, she explains the results in detail and makes constructive suggestions to improve my habits. For example, I have always been a major carnivore but now my diet is largely plant-based. She is quite persuasive! I feel she is my medical cheerleader and has been instrumental in helping me more successfully navigate life as an aging adult! Thank you, Andrea!

My husband had a scraping injury on his arm, we cleaned it well at home. But the next day, the arm didn't look good, so he went to the urgent care in our town, was given antibiotics, which unfortunately he had an allergic reaction to. We back to the urgent care was given steroids but no more antibiotics. The arm was still not improving so he then went in person to his doctor's office and was told by the receptionist that his doctor did not have any appointments open for 2 weeks. Now its day three, the arm was bright red, swollen and looked bad. I call Dr. Weed, who is my doctor, for a recommendation. She said to get him right over to her office that afternoon, she wanted to see him and his arm. Needless to say by now, he had a raging infection. She started antibiotics, (he did not want to be hospitalized) so she saw him everyday by day five she was seeing a little improvement, it was the weekend, and he still was refusing to go to the hospital. She called a couple times every day over the weekend requesting texted pictures to monitor his progress, and gave me strict instructions to call her if it changed even a tiny bit. By Monday it was show a little more improvement, so we dodged the "hospital admit bullet". She still monitored him closely every day for awhile until she was sure he was recovering... My husband and I both know if it weren't for Dr. Weed, he would have lost his arm. She is now my husband's doctor too and we both adore her. It is obvious, by her compassion and personalized care that she really cares about her patients. Like I tell everyone "she is our hero."

I am blessed to have Dr. Weed looking out for my health. She pushed me to have a stress EKG. I was working 60 to 70 hours a week and thought I felt fine even though I knew I was not exercising enough. I saw the heart get wonky (medical term) when the treadmill speed was pushed up high. The next day, I was in having an angiogram. They found both maid arteries to the heart to be 99% blocked. At least that was how it was described to me at the time. Thankfully, they were able to thread through the little opening in the blockage an placed stents. I came back slowly bringing the heart exercise up a little at a time. Now I'm back to steep hiking, bicycling, hunting and enjoying life. Not to bad for 73 and complete thanks to Dr. Weed and the cardiologist who attended to me.

Dr. Weed is always there for me.....no matter what time...what day! She always remembers my medical history and I feel confident I’m getting the best care! I called her on a Friday, after office hours with a health concern and she was right on it. Prescriptions were called in and within a few hours, was better! Saved me an ER visit. Thank you Dr. Weed!
