About Christine Lopopolo, MD, FACOG
My approach to wellness and health is shaped by the many roles I hold in life—woman, mother and physician. The integration of these perspectives allows me to provide medical care that is more individualized. I bring 26 years of clinical experience, combined with decades of listening to and understanding women’s concerns, to my patient relationships.
As an MDVIP-affiliated physician, I will work in partnership with you as you work to achieve balance with a focus on personalized prevention and whole-person wellness. I offer the MDVIP Women's Health Program – a personalized care model that gives me more time and resources to proactively address women’s unique healthcare needs.
As a board-certified gynecologist, I can offer a unique perspective on women’s primary care, helping to address issues relevant to women’s health. In addition, I hold an MSCP Certification from The Menopause Society, the training for which helps me in the care of peri- and post-menopausal women, including weight management, sexual health and other therapies. As a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon, I can help address more urgent gynecologic concerns.
Over the course of my career, I have learned as much from my patients as I hope they have learned from me. I believe in approaching the mind, body and spirit as interconnected parts of health. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices.
Together, we can work together as you strive toward balance, vitality and a life in which you can thrive.

Reviews from the web
This MDVIP program is so well organized that in 5 months all my records from 5 other physicians are combined and I’m getting extraordinary care.
I've had one appointment this far with Dr.Lopopolo. She was kind, compassionate, and so attentive. My last birth experience left me feeling immense anxiety and she heard all of my concerns. I left the office feeling confident in her abilities, and the in the level of care I would be receiving.
After my glucose test with her (my numbers were normal at 130, they need to be under 140) she proceeded to tell me that she needed to start me on Metphormin. When I objected she threatened me by saying, “Well I don’t want to have to perform an unnecessary cesarean when this could’ve been prevented. I also don’t want you to have a huge baby, because he’s measuring too big right now.” Fast forward to nine months, I fired her for trying to put me on a medication that I did not need. I decided to have a home birth with the best midwife.
After a successful homebirth at almost 42 weeks (no complications and my baby weighing 8.12lbs) I was told that she contacted my new care provider around 39 weeks and told her that she did not believe I was a good home birth candidate. She proceeded to state that I was gestational diabetic, when I in fact was not.
So what kind of care would I have received if I would’ve never told her I was diabetic in my first pregnancy? Makes you wonder right…
It is mind boggling to me that this is the type of obstetric “care” many women across the United States receive. This is unacceptable and should be against the law.
Typing this out brings back so many frustrating memories of the “care” I was in with Lopopolo. Maternal care should not be carried out this way. Mothers should be nurtured and be provided with evidence based information, not hunches. If you’re considering hiring Lopopolo as your “care” provider, I would consider hiring somebody else - better yet, hire a midwife!
I have only been her patient for a short time but I can honestly say that I trust her completely and recommend her 100%.
My pregnancy was smooth and my delivery (with twins) was amazing and more than I could have ever hoped for. Dr. Lopopolo is thoughtful and proactive and I appreciate how she applies these qualities to each situation. Very happy I have Dr. Lopopolo!
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, your MDVIP affiliated physician will cover primary care and our Women's Health Program. The extensive diagnostics performed in the Women’s Health Program cover important primary care areas, including cardiovascular health, stroke, diabetes, hearing, sleep, mobility, fitness and emotional well-being. Couple that with the annual women’s health screenings for gynecology, bone health and hormone testing – and patients can get the best of both worlds in one office.
The MDVIP Women’s Health Program is only for women and focuses on the unique health needs of women. Physicians offering the women’s program are typically gynecologists and offer gender-specific testing, including hormone and bone-health screening as well as pre- and perimenopause services. Patients in both styles of practices receive preventive screenings and tests from the MDVIP Wellness Program, but the specific tests and screenings may be different.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
