Dr. Borchers became my primary care physician after cardiac arrest and a 5-way bypass. Since then he has guided me through colon cancer a major infection and kidney failure. I am now dealing with A Fib and appreciate that he allows me to have an opinion on my ongoing care with concerns for keeping me alive. He has kept me alive for 28 years since my cardiac arrest. As I was monitored by the surgical team at Anschutz Medical Center this past July, my nearly daily follow up by Dr. Borchers, my primary care, was not surprising as it has been for over 15 years of that level of caring and close attention, but checking in on me while vacationing with his family in Europe was certainly unexpected but greatly appreciated. I was lucky to become a patient of Dr. Borchers when I moved to the Roaring Fork Valley 25 years ago. I was sick and in need of a doctor.
